Why are Division 5 players immune to demotion, It ruins Ranked

Doesn't this make Ranked a toxic environment, Division 1 players of lower tiers are competitive and usually the ones forced to carry their Division 5 counter parts, Division V players know that they can't get demoted unless they they fall an entire tier in mmr which takes ages. Wouldn't it be better if for example a Gold V player got demoted because his MMR dropped to Silver 2 and not borderline Bronze like todays requirement. Division V players are the ones that will first time a Champion in ranked and the ones most likely to troll.

On one hand I'd like to agree on that since I've had so many bad experiences with p5 players. On the other hand, after reaching plat at about p3 mmr with a huge winstreak I then got into a losing streak of about 15 games which brought my mmr back to about g1-g2. The amount of horrible players on my teams was insane and if I were to demote because of those games I'd probably uninstall this game. Also I think the V division players are nowhere near as bad as players who are like in IV or III divisions at 49-50% winrates, who have nothing to do in ranked since they cant demote but are too bad to climb any higher so they re just floating and fucking around while being at V 0 lp still gives you some incentive to try not to lose.

Division 5 players can get demoted.

I agree, guaranteeing a player a rank as soon as they hit division5, is ridiculous. So many Bronze players get permalocked into Gold4-5 and ruin games in plat/gold for the entirety of the season because its impossible for them to rank down into their real rank.
