Daily reminder that we want Solo Queue
Title. Riot, it wouldn't be as bad as if you would just talk to us. You've completely shut us out. First you lied to us and now you won't even admit to it.

What pisses me off is those who are for DQ say the same old thing.
"this is the new elo hell excuse."
Most of us aren't even talking about the win loss rate. Most of us are probably similar to last season. The issue is...and I'll bold it to make it clear, is the games are not fun when playing with a large group premade when you're solo
No one likes it when DQ plays their troll comps No one like being gang banged by top, mid, jg, and support roaming top lane No one likes constant invades when your solo is the jungler vs their premade jungle comp No one likes the constant berating or white knighting the minute you say "if you can, try to play safe until the jungler comes to help" No one likes these win and lose stomps
Riot can talk all they want about the average wait time. A silver player shouldn't have to wait 15 minutes every other game for top/jung (and yes I've played support more than anything lately because of these absurd times)

we =/= all of league. your we = yourself and some others
Dynamic queue is fine, if the enemy team has premades then yours does too. It's really not that much different than solo except you can do ranked with more than 1 friend now and don't need 5 online at once to do ranked teams which was an annoying thing for a lot of people.
I don't like dynamic queue. For me it has more to do with being the solo player in a team that is premade than it is about facing an enemy premade. Yeah, facing a premade can suck but in Silver they aren't usually super coordinated. I have never had an enjoyable experience as a solo player in a team with a 3person or 4person premade. I only have a few friends that still league at all, and 2 that actually do ranked occasionally. I play the vast majority of my games solo. Dynamic queue carries over some of the same problems that duo queue had and exacerbates many of them. Sometimes the experience is okay, but when it's negative it tends to be incredibly negative.
season 6 upvote farming secret strategy: ask for solo queue
Here's what's up, to all you people that are disagreeing with me.
This system IS UNFAIR. There is no way around that. I do not care about your statistics or data or anything like that. Is it infrequent that a group of solo players will be matched against a larger premade? Ya probably. However, the fact that it CAN happen and that it DOES happen (with whatever frequency) means that the system is broken solely on principle. I should not need to explain my views further, but if you really want me to then I'll attempt to do so: I regularly have a 51 or 52% win ratio in ranked. In fact, this is a very normal win ratio for players that play a lot of ranked games. Riot has claimed that roughly 5% of games in which you queue solo will be matched against larger premades (correct that number if I'm wrong please). That is 5% of games in which I am at a very significant disadvantage. Lets say i play 500 ranked games this season. With a normal 51% win ratio, that means I would have 255 wins and 245 losses. That's a rather slim margin for error. Now, lets assume that in my 500 ranked games, I lose 5% of them due to premades. That makes my new win ratio 46%, meaning I end up with 230 wins and 270 losses. That's 25 extra losses, and a pretty substantial win rate drop, which will pretty much put an end to any chance I have of climbing. This is not a "philosophical difference", this is a very principled argument against a system that IS NOT FAIR, at least in its current state. And even if my percentages are wrong, anything greater than a 1% chance of losing to a premade will cause me to generally decline in mmr. And not only is Dynamic Queue fairly punishing to solo players in this regard, it also encourages boosting. Again, fight me if you will, but Riot has already addressed issues like this in higher elos so it most definitely does happen. Boosting is something that Riot has previously BANNED offenders for, now they are basically giving them a free pass to do so. Doesn't matter how often it happens, what matters is that it can, and it does, therefore the system is broken.
Having said all that, I do like that Riot is trying to bring a better community sense to this game. It's desperately needed in a game this big. But if you are playing this game for community, then why not stick to normals? Games where the intended purpose is to just go in and have a good time. Why not leave ranked as a fair and individual test of one's skills and focus on community building in a separate queue, like normals or perhaps another? And please don't take this as me just dumping on normal queue. I play a lot of normal games as well. In fact, this season I've played mostly normals. Dynamic Queue is absolutely great there. It's just so streamlined and convenient to use. It makes playing normal games a lot more fun in my opinion. But when you port such a system into a game mode designed to encourage competition, you're just inviting increased frustration, which in turn WILL lead to higher levels of toxicity, something that Riot really doesn't want to do. And of course, you then run into problems with ridiculously high queue times. Now, I'm aware that this is only a serious concern at higher elos (ie Diamond and up) but even at my current mmr (low to mid gold) I've noticed longer queue times than in previous seasons. This will only continue to get worse as solo players are discouraged from playing ranked, as there will be fewer players left to fill the gaps left in the premades.
Daily reminder that they already addressed this.
[W]e’re not making a call on solo queue because there are some critical issues we need to fix in dynamic queue to understand what’s actually missing. Promising solo queue in our original announcement was premature - a knee-jerk reaction to a situation we were still figuring out.
You claim they won't talk to you, but they already did. Repeating yourself isn't going to get a further response. They're working on issues in DQ.
As somebody who has only recently come back to league after over a year i dont understand this post. Could somebody explain to me what happened, please? I am confused...
