Riot, you weigh CS too heavily in the grading system.

CS is one of the most important aspects of the game and I understand that. Its one of the staples to look at when viewing people's skills. But a player going 20/1/10 (30.0 KDA) in a game calls for a grade above an S-. Scores like that are rare and hard-earned. I'm a Gold V Lee main (hehe xd), and of the one or two hundred games I've played, I believe this is one of my best. Ironically I've gotten an S+ on Lee Sin for performing nowhere near as well. I just think the grading system could be better tuned, especially depending on one's role. I'm not exactly sure how the system works, whether it includes objective control, #creeps counter jungled, kill participation, etc. This is more of a vent and if anything, I personally would like to see stuff like this happen less. Thanks :)

At least you're not playing support, to get an S you have to donate a kidney.

Kills are not playing well. SO no they should not have some high grading for having 20 kills.

You getting a lot of kills only means you opponent did not play well, not that you actually played well. There is a reason that a lot more kills happen in low elo play as opposed to high elo play, and that is because dying is a mistake whereas getting a kill is not amazing, it just means your opponent made a mistake.

Final note, as you mentioned such a KDA is rare and as such that means that going for such things is inconsistent. Now, if Rito gave out S ranks rewarding such inconsistent play, what do you think would happen? I think that more people would attempt such inconsistency and as a result would lower their own winrate.

I've had dominating games where I made the plays that won our team the game and was still left with nothing. The 'mystery' formula is broken. I've had great games where I picked up an S and even better games where I didn't get one.

With the matchmaking system as it is, do you honestly believe you deserve an S because you went 20/1 against bronze players?

Thats because Riot made the grading system to reward people for doing well and using advantages to systematically end games quickly. Dragging a game out and farming kills shouldnt be rewarded. There's no reason that the game should have lasted long enough for you to go 20/1/10. Should have ended it much quicker with a lead like that

How did the game go on for 32 minutes if you have 20 kills? Seriously, how?

Grades are reflective of complete play of the top % of players that play that champion.

You weren't given a lower than expected grade due to a lack of CS, it probably also took into account game length as well as objectives.

You also need to know that personal grades are not reflective of raw stats completely, it is reflective of the player base that plays really well with your specific champion.

I get S grades all the time with Nasus, but that's because most Nasus players don't have ridiculous raw stat lines.
