Really not fond of the revert to the wall casting, walking to a location often results in getting caught by CC thrown in the direction you are heading for that wall when I was able to reliable use the wall to disengage now it's sometimes very unreliable for such a purpose. I would prefer a toggle somewhere to alter it's behavior so it can be switched to cast at max range when clicked beyond max range.

What's so unreliable about just placing it closer to you?

It was quite frustrating to place the w somewhere only to discover you were slightly out of range of where you were aimming and have it not quite cut off wherever or have most of the wall inside part of the map or something like that.

Though annoying to have placed it in terrain, that could have been coded to push it's center away from the wall so that it'd always make a circle around a spot nearest the wall so most of it doesn't end up in the wall. As it is, often you need to throw a wall while running at max range to mess up the enemy pathing (forcing them into a minion wave maybe). Placing it closer to you often defeats that purpose, but if you try to use it at max range while running now you WILL stop running regardless since it's now a movement command as well. Any time you add extra inputs to do something you increase the opportunity to be caught more frequently, it doesn't increase the skill cap, just makes it more clunky to use and less reliable.

So, the results of the change to the Wall placement has been that Yorick's win rate over the past week has dropped by more than a few percentage among the avid Yorick players. There needs to be a toggle for this, or the coding should be touched up so that it cannot land more than half in a wall if the center is used inside a wall it would get pushed to the nearest outside edge of the wall closest to the player (that way it could not gain extra range over some terrain).

This is a minor issue, but one that makes a very big difference to how Yorick is played. I need to be able to wall in a minion wave reliably, as it is I cannot, it will path me around/through minions before using the skill and often waste a lot of time, if I use it within range it works as intended but requires far too much micromangement of positioning to use effectively. Please put this back to how it was before 6.23 or adjust coding/provide toggle to change it client side somehow.
