Riot; Honest idea for accounts, perhaps? If you could read I would greatly appreciate!

Maybe a way to completely reset our rank and everything? I'd like to start anew without loosing everything I have. I don't know why I'm forced into the match-ups I am, but they're the cause for me not being able to play for more then a game at a time anymore.

Can't really complain about smurfs, because smurfing is already allowed and completely screwing most new players' experience.
Most smurfs will drop $5-$10 to get what they want, or...just get it from leveling. (From what I've been told my smurfs I've known)

The impact wouldn't make the game any worse in the state it is then it is now.

Maybe give us the opportunity to reset our Ranked profiles as well? The longer you're stuck in a rank, the worse the match-ups become. This is something that's been discussed between a lot of people of a lot of different ranks (I don't recall where I read it, but I know at least in the dischord I'm part of it's an ongoing thing.)

I have bad games, I wouldn't pretend I don't. In fact, when I have bad games, they're just about the worst games I've ever seen anyone play. But the match-ups between the people I'm with and the people I'm against is disgustingly skewed and REALLY makes the game less enjoyable. The majority of the time I'm on the receiving end, but even when I have the team that's WAY above opponents...it's not fun to just see people destroyed that are playing against people they shouldn't be...

I know there are people who will say I'm crying. I know there are people who will say that I should quit or take a break or go to another game.
I'm not crying, I'm merely making my point. I don't really want to quit, as I'm invested and overall enjoy MOBAs. I've taken a break, come back, had a few decent games (by decent I mean they've been mostly one sided in my favor) then suddenly the same skew started, now both in ranked and out of ranked.

A lot of people will say not to play support, but there are a multitude of reasons I play support, not the least of which it's my favorite position and the most needed in most games.

Riot, I'm asking as someone who really wants to return to enjoying the game.
I'm asking as a fan and a customer. Please, honestly take into consideration what I'm saying and take a look into maybe helping to fix it.

I find "LOLSUMO", the app, to rate rather nicely under multiple sections as well as useing your API. Perhaps you might look into something similar to the way they calculate things, put the Riot twist on it...for people in SoloQ that play alone often, having individual performance reflection helps...especially with the amount of trolls in the game nowadays.

Thank you so much for your time reading, I know you're busy doing the things you do.

TL:DR

I'm bad at TL:DRs...

Examples of bad games and matchmaking that have happened to me, not in a complaining manner (I hope) but as an example...Honest attempt to suggest improvements to matchmaking or ranking individuals and whatnot...

{EDIT} Clarification...I hope

How long you are in a rank has nothing to do with the match ups. If I went on your account I would win every single game until you were Gold 5 regardless of the match ups. This is why boosting exists.

That one dude nailed it, but you took it as an insult rather than a change of mind.

A diamond would carry every game at your rank, so your argument doesnt work.

  1. Stop playing support unless you want to get a duo partner. As support you basically have to rely on 4 other people to do their job, if you have a duo partner that plays adc, youll win the majority of your games. Otherwise, play a carry role like adc or jungle, and carry the game.

  2. You're not stuck in the rank because of the matchups.. you're stuck in the game because of your way of thinking. Watch higher ranked streamers and actually learn. Stop assuming you know anything about the game, because aside from basic controls, you know nothing. (Another "hard truth" that sounds like an insult, but bronze is a frame of mind, and you refusing to accept that you belong there is the first reason you're stuck.)

  3. Stop using scapegoats. The ranking system is fine, the teams you're against/are with are at the same level as you, and Riot isnt trying to keep you stuck in bronze as some elaborate prank. Its your fault, recognize, then fix it.

Some very famous streamers for high elo and even folk in LCS & other pro-play understand how the elo system works, I think you aren't looking for the word 'time spent in ranked' it's more so the fact that the elo gained and lost is based upon your win and loss;

An example, not by actual numbers but representative numbers:

Tobias Fate W/R: 15/W 0/L = 25 LP Gained per game / 13 lost per game Tobias Fate: W/R: 15/W 5/L = 20 LP Gained per game / 17 lost per game Tobias Fate: W/R: 15/W 10/L = 15 LP Gained Per Game / 22 lost per game Tobias Fate: W/R: 15/W 15/L = 11 LP Gained per game / 25 lost per game

So now that you have a better understanding of how the game functions in it's ranked system, it's easy to understand how an elo hell exists - it exists EVERYWHERE - not just in bronze or silver! Why did I use Tobias Fate as an example? Because the account is basically stuck in elo hell for the rest of it's season, the streamer will only gain about 16-17 LP per win however lose 21 or maybe even 23 LP per game! He would have to have a 70-80% winrate to get out of the division and into the next division. So: Elo hell is based upon the system - not the actual elo! It should be named Elo Curse instead!

Other things to know: If you put a gold member on an account that was B5 with a heavy losing streak (most b5 in other words) - It would take significantly longer to get out of bronze and back into gold than if it were a completely new account! That ISN'T to say that it would be hard though, as I've gotten out of bronze in an actual day with this account - passed silver, got into gold, quit, got to G1 - got drunk in one night and woke up in G5. (I pretty much just said fuck it for next season. I hardly even play anymore, RIP.)

Other things to know: Holy Nocturne is just an arrogant crusader on the internet, ignore him, he has absolutely nothing good to say to help you better understand how the system works. It all comes down to your account history, if you want to climb and your account is in the negative winrates by a larger number than desired . . .? Just make a new account until the season starts. I am pretty sure, if I'm not mistaken, the Elo "Curse" is lifted each season. Though, you'd BETTER be winning your games otherwise back on goes the curse . . . and good luck getting rid of it after being -15 games on your win and loss ratio.
