you could target ban so fricken effectively. remove all the meta mid and top champs for example.

Plus you're assuming that removing more meta champs is a bad thing in the first place, and I'm not so sure it is. More variety can only be a good thing at this point.

Literally this^ Literally. I'm so sick of seeing a mix of the same 20 champs every game. In addition to having 10 bans, give everyone on the team 1 instead of letting RNG decide who gets to make the biggest decisions of every respective game.

Just make it so before picking starts, everyone gets a quick 30 seconds or so to nominate a champion to ban, all those nominated at the end of the 30 seconds are banned. The role of 'captain' in solo queue is incredibly stupid and only creates problems. Sure, some teammates ask for ban prefs and all that, but most people just ban the champions they perceive as OP or that they have trouble playing against, not a very team oriented aspect if you ask me.

But, you know, if seeing professional gamers abuse the hell out of overtuned champions is what you like, then there's really nothing else to talk about.

Riot has said multiple times this year (which I don't really like) that they wouldn't be increasing bans. Which honestly is dumb since there were more champs coming out in a year the past few years than we even have bans as a whole. That alone is pretty dumb given the 100+ champs, and 3 bans per team.
Is why there are champs that have a 90+ ban rate at worlds, and still stuff teams don't want to see gets through. Because right now the balance is still not very good so there are "must" bans, then the "probably should ban" and that makes up about 8-9 just right there, not counting target bans, etc.
They either need to raise the bans to 8 or stop making champs for a while.
