Are Taliyah worked grounds detrimental or positive to her?

Dear Summoners,

I can't tell if Taliyah's worked ground is a positive aspect or a negative one!!

As far as I can tell, it's negative since it prevents you from bursting.... but it also reduces costs?

Can someone please explain this to me?

And is there something about worked ground that the enemy can use against her?

Sincerely,

Box.

Yeah, it's a tradeoff.

You lose some damage, but if you need to CS in lane, it is an effective tool for bonus damage for low mana cost.

Enemies can't directly use worked ground, but they may pay attention to whether she is standing on it, because a Taliyah stepping off worked ground is a sign that they are about to use a full damage Q (probably on the laner)

Both, although enemies don't interact with it at all. It depends on whether you need burst or just free damage.

It is a trade off and detrimental to her. In her Riot Q&A they stated that Taliyah Q is amongst one of the strongest basic spells in the game. Essentially being a lucian ult on a basic ability a large trade off needed to be added for her power budget to allow more spells.

A Worked ground Q is less effective then an Un-worked Q in everyway besides the reduced mana, which is added as somewhat of a bonus for the trade-off...

As the two above said, it's a little bit of both.

Worked ground allows you to cast your Q for basically no cost to get in a little free poke or to help cs without using the mana for a full Q.

It's mostly useful in the laning phase in my opinion. Especially since early Taliyah's mana costs are a bit steep. You can find yourself out of mana after only a couple spell rotations if you're not careful.

It used to provide a speed buff when you would walk on worked ground as Taliyah but they removed that as a part of her nerfs/changes not too long ago.

Worked ground also gives you ms boost so that helps a lot too. You can use it to escape and all, and if you use terrains , with your passive you run away quite fast.

Generally it's Negative , it's good in lane only , the lane lasts less than 10 minutes and you usuall spend most of it roaming or following enemies who are roaming , and in team fights it's surely negative especially after the Q AOE removal
