Who do you play most often and why?

I've seen plenty of those "Who do you play threads" but I wanted to do one more in-depth. Who do you most commonly play in what lane? Why do you play them there? What do you build towards? What abilities do you start with?

I use as follows: Middle: Lux Items: Rush item 3174 against another MP champion or item 3165 against an AD champion, then build depending on the other team. ALWAYS get max cooldown. Abilities: One in Q, then one in E, one in W, then max E, R when possible, max Q, then W last. Why: 30 second cooldown on massive laser. Enough said.

Top: Jayce (I know how high his skill-cap is, but that's why I like him. Plus, Tryndamere can't touch me.) Items: Rush item 3070 for ability spam then build item 3508 for attack damage and life steal. item 3072 afterwards and then item 3004 . Abilities: Start with Q, one in E, one in W, R when possible. Max Q first, then E, with W last. Switch Q & E when going against a tank. Why: I love people able to poke people down before jumping in to get the kill. Plus the way E works against tanks is extremely helpful.

ADC: I haven't found an ADC I really like yet, I tend to use whoever is free. If I feel like it I'll run Jayce ADC.

Support: Thresh Items: Classic support items, then build some AP on the side. I always get item 3089 because it works great with his passive. Abilities: Start with Q, one in W, one in E, R when possible. Max Q, then E, then W. Why: He's not only a top tier support, Thresh is just insanely fun to play.

Jungle: Khazix Items: Rush item 3209, then item 3077 to later build into item 3074. The rest I tend to build depending on the other team. Abilities: Start Q, then W, then E, R when possible. Max Q first, then R, then W. I like evolving E first to help with ganks, then Q for surprising people who wander off, and finally R to boost my survival rate and escape speed. Why: The burst damage is unreal.

Alright, there's mine and I know some of my builds aren't the greatest, but being only level 19 I'm still learning. So, let me hear from the rest of the community.

Top Lane: Satin Teemo

Build: Minefield (AP), Bruiser/Tankmo, Seizure (AS)

Start: Q against AA champs like Trynd or when I need burst trades Level 1 (e.g. Ryze). Otherwise E for farming and hard pushing.

Why: I started playing when someone recommended him to me. This was back when IP sales were a thing, so I got him for well below 1350. He became my instant favorite because how much of a scumbag I felt playing him. He also helped me develop an orientation towards objective control (since shrooms op) and to /laugh /taunt spam to bait.

Mid Lane: Huehuehuehuehuehuehue Mordekaiser

Build: Spellvamp AP (occasionally AP Tank if top)

Start: E. Good conical harass and shield farming.

Why: Because hue.

But seriously, because he was on a free week earlier (few weeks?), I played him once, and instantly fell in love with his "what are you doing? Are you trying to damage me?" attitude. He has great teamfight dps with good positioning and can wreck lanes by ignoring that the enemy laner exists.

Support: Gems Taric or this hookerThresh

Build: Both are tank, Thornmail for Taric if against AA-heavy comps.

Start: Q on Thresh, variable on Taric (tend to start E to counter Level 1 cheeses)

Why: Thresh because I liked the whole "chain warden collecting souls" idea. I also like the layout of his kit and what he's capable of. I also like landing blind hooks like a dick.

For Taric, it's a recent thing. I just wanted to pick up another champ to play casually on normals, and I never had Taric, so fuck it I'll be outrageous. HE'S SO OUTRAGEOUS. His passive gives me easy spell rotations and pulls up my ultimate very fast, and his ability to grant essential stats to his teammates is beautiful. I ended up taking him to ranked and doing fairly well with him. He's just truly, truly, truly, OUTRAGEOUS.

ADC: A bunch of them.

Build: What most build

Start: Q or E, depending on the champion.

Why: Because I had to use a ranged adc at some point, so I just decided to grab a ton. My favorites vary with time, currently it's Sivir for wave-clear, spellshield, and utility ult, and Caitlyn because range.

Jungle: Sion Sion , Big Bad Wolf Warwick , Xin XinZhao

Build: Bruiser/Tank

Start: W

Why: I initially played AP Sion before re-work. I gave new Sion a shot. His wave-clear/zoning is nice. Ult is a dick in the face.

Warwick because first jungler is generic. And Level 6 ganks are real.

Xin Zhao because I wanted someone who could gank early.1

Jungle Kha, rush spirit lizard, then brutalizer and lifesteal, then even more AD (with cdr boots sometime in there). Usually max with ~300+ AD.

Otherwise, Nasus top, rush frozen heart + spirit visage (depending on other team and enemy laner) into full tank.

Worgslarg11/19/2014, 5:12:37 PM1 votes

Rengar - He's a fun jungler, amazing if you can get ahead.

I usually go flare into a brutalizer, if I get REALLY fed I build a tiamat before finishing yomumus, then go for a last whisper.

I max Q, then E.

If you're playing rengar top, starting to cast teleport INSTANTLY finishes the countdown to stealth from your ult.

I'm also in the process of learning zed, but I've only got a few games on him atm.

jungle Shaco or LeeSin always rush spirit elder, usually 2 longswords before spirit stone because i gank a lot max e on shaco first, q on lee sin i jus like to gank people?

Who do you most commonly play in what lane?

Master Yi in Mid Lane

Why do you play them there?

I like Mid Lane's dynamics (Abilities being key here, Cooldown Counting being an abusive means to victory, the roaming and level advantage, it's difficult to gank, etc.) and how Master Yi interacts with all of these. Between his lackluster defensive abilities but powerful burst damage and his Q being able to abuse cool downs, Master Yi feels really comfortable for me mid lane.

What do you build towards?

Infinity Edge rush, then other combat items depending on the situation. Youmuu's Ghostblade against low armor enemies, Last Whisper against those who stack armor, Blade of the Ruined King when I need sustain, Phantom Dancer if I have to team fight.

What abilities do you start with?

Q. Definitely Q. This is the way you win mid lane as Master Yi.

After that, I level W or E based on how I want to play (W for sustaining/defending and E for trading, obv.). Finally, I max R->Q->W->E, sometimes maxing E before W if I am significantly fed.

I'm always picking up and dropping champions, so I'll list what I'm using right now.

Support: Braum Items: In no specific orderitem 3401 item 3143 item 3271 item 2049 Other situationals as well. Abilities: Start Q, 1 point in E, 1 point in W, then max Q 1st, then E, then W Why: Being a tank at the front line is one thing, Literally blocking everything with a large shield and leading the charge into a battle is another, much more epic thing. He gives a feeling of being the true defender of the team and saving all those who are under you're protection. ADC: Lucian Items: Generic ADC with CDR boots. Abilities: 1 point in Q, 1 in W, 1 in E, then max Q, E, and finally W Why: Being a agile gunslinger is something I've always loved doing in most games that I've played, and Lucian fills that role pretty excellently

Mid: Annie Items: Generic AP build Abilities: 1 in Q, 1 in W, 1 in E. Max Q, then W, finally E. Why: I used to play Veigar, and old-school burst mages are probably some of my favorites, so Annie fits right into my mid lane style.

Janna Janna Support (this I know how to play) **Why: **She's very good at keeping her team-mates from dying, a support isn't required to last-hit, and her ult is one big NOPE. I like the vision control and clutch save aspects of supporting, and Janna's good at that (passive + W passive give MS for ease of roaming, and her ER combo is more effective at saving people than an actual ER). I also like that her R can be counterproductive, so I don't just feel like a walking Ult Bot (see: Leona) past lane phase. **Items: **item 3069 item 2049 item 3364 plus some combination of item 3023 item 3190 item 3222 item 3504 item 3143, with item 3041 item 3089 possible. And a lot of pinks. **Abilites: **Start EQW, take R whenever it's available, max E -> W -> Q, learn how to cancel dashes with Q, laugh at the enemy Akali.

MonkeyKing Wukong Top & Jungle Why: He's still useful even if he falls behind in lane (that sweet sexy CC ulti <3 ) plus awesome juking potential with W. (I once got FB when the enemy Lee Sin turret dived me, then after I unloaded my combo, I cloaked and let him eat turret shots. I would've died had I not decoyed.) Wukong's VO is also pretty inspirational. Items: Top lane item 3071 or item 3074 then tanky (if I'm behind, it's BC, if I'm really behind, I'll build item 2049 second) Jungle item 3209 then tanky, with an occasional item 2049 (especially if our support has no clue on what a ward is) Abilities: Start EQW, take R whenever it's available, max E -> Q -> W, learn to combo E+aa+Q+aa (Q is an aa reset).

Lux Velkoz Lux / Vel'Koz Mid (I don't play mid...) Why: Lasers. Also, it's nice to be long-range. Items: item 3174 or item 3165 plus item 3089 item 3020 item 3135 item 3157 plus 6th (defensive) item. For Vel'Koz, I'll sometimes build item 3165 item 3151 item 3135 item 3020 item 3116 plus 6th item, typically item 3089 (a metagolem Magic Penetration build with Rylai's as a defensive item) Abilities: Lux start EQW, take R whenever available, max E -> Q -> W unless it's a difficult matchup (Fizz...) Vel'Koz start QWE, take R whenever available, max W -> Q -> E

Sivir Tristana Sivir or Tristana ADC (I'm a shit ADC) Why: Because I own them, and can maybe perhaps ADC with them. Tristana was OP, and still has her Rocket Jump for repositioning. Sivir plays like a caster. Items: Trist item 3031 item 3087 or item 3046 item 3006 item 3035 item 3072 plus 6th defensive item Sivir item 3508 or item 3031 item 3087 item 3035 item 3006 or item 3158 then an 80 AD item (item 3031 item 3508 item 3072) Abilities: Trist start WEQ, take R always, max Q -> E -> W (that's how I do it...) Sivir start QWE, take R always, max Q -> W -> E

To be perfectly honest: I'm not sure.

In ranked, it is by FAR Dr. Mundo DrMundo

But in normals, the format I play more often, it is likely Teemo, Singed, Garen, Viegar, or MordekaserTeemoSingedGarenVeigarMordekaiser Though it could still be Dr. Mundo.

What I like about these champions are A) they are underplayed by a LOT and so it adds a bit more fun to the game. B) They are all fun to play. C) Wit the exception of Veig.....top lane all the way.
