It's almost impossible to have S+ every game.

The system riot created won't allow us to do so.

It's supposedly based on X champion on X region.

Just so you know I got S+ more often in game that I lost.

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU LOSE OR NOT!

In the end I just think the system is slightly too harsh

Here's something I might consider doing: say i'm fast enough to calculate my team mmr in champion select i could get an estimate of our total mmr and based on my mmr, i would be able to tell if our mmr is close, higher or lower than the enemy team mmr.

With that said i could possibly make sure that my team mmr is higher or close, what that mean is that i could manipulate RNG to get more wins.

Before you shame my elo check this: https://clips.twitch.tv/OpenSnappyGoblinSSSsss

And don't forget there's people who's eloboosting, and using cheap tactic to win games, hopefully i have a decent connection and DDoS protected,so small attacks won't have much effects.**

also i get a lot of people who has horrendous ping or DC in a lot of them games.

Just pull up op.gg go to your name, then "Live game" and it will tell you the mmr of both teams

I think I got S+ twice, but they were both on Assassins, and I think it was in the Hunt for the Blood Moon game mode.

Could be because you only have 3 assist on irelia, and you weren't the majority of the kill participation (you were actually the second lowest on your team with 36%, your malzahar would've way more likely gotten the + if he didn't die as much than you would)

No, getting consistant S+ isn't impossible, its just impractical cause you have to be perfect in how you play and coordinate your team.

Before you go into all this crazy data to figure out why you didn't get an S+, reconsider what you're doing that could factor into why the game was just S and not S+ material (36% KP, if you did more in assist, or if the rest of your team did even less, you'd get a +)

Also the reason why we get S+'s more often in losses or stomps is because the rest of your team is playing like shit, and you the one who stands out in gold, damage, kill participation, etc, so the game thinks you're some 1v9 god and gives S+.

Coordinating a team in solo queue is a more impossible dream than #BringBackHarambe. I think the OP is right. It's nearly impossible to get an S+ unless you're playing a champion who no one plays AND you're popping off on the champ too. The requirements for getting an S+ are tuned way too tightly at the moment (especially on champions who are commonly played) and need to be loosened.

Coordinating a team is indeed hard, granted not impossible as long as your team listens and values your performance, but hard.

S ranks as a whole are meant to be rewarded to players who do their best and succeed in every regard, and go above those stats on that champion (you can check the average expectancy of champions through lolskill). Getting an S+ should be as rare as it is, cause not everybody is capable of achieving that high of a rank.

Think of ranks like this:

S- you did well, good job. S you did very well and were a major asset to your victory S+ you were the major asset to why your team won, achieved above every stat, and made faker proud.

I don't see S+ being a "right to earn" more or less a "medal of honor". Strict or not, S+ the way it is fits the best players doing the absolute best even when it seems impossible, rather than just earning it to earn it.

By no means is it going by playrate. If anything, higher playrate = easier s ranks since more people are preforming poorly where as the low playrate aka mains of the champions always do well. When everybody played azir and kindred, S ranks were stupid easy to get even if you didn't preform well.

I determined that communication plays a role in achieving S+

but also it's easier to achieve S+ with a champion you never played with.

I don't believe standing out the most because your team is doing less is the reason why I get S+

about the team participation, i was 2 second most highest DPS, you think i participated in 20 out of them, but I would have get more assist if the enemy wouldn't die before i get there.

my only asset to get a bunch of assist is my AoE my ult who has with 40% cdr 30 second cooldown (late game)

as a melee single target dps , i think i stand out a lot, yes doing most of my stuff top, taking towers and inhibitor. I'm not sure if it count but it should, CS'ing too.

i got S+ in games that I wasn't even participating like AFK'ing top lane, team participation doesn't really matter much in the end

also i might take my mastery level into account, but i doubt that it has any impact.

that game with irelia I had the most "damage taken" proof that I participated a lot.

in my last game our team lane had 10% participation eh had the worst K/D/A and never managed to take his tower. and for some reason he got S+ just because his champion mastery was freaking low.

First off, be very careful about using third party MMR estimates to determine someones mmr. They're just guesses on the third partys part, and not necessarily accurate.

Second off, don't confuse correlation with causation. Your teams MMR and the enemy teams MMR has no impact on the requirements for different grades (they've confirmed that grades are absolute compared to everyone in your region on the same champ in the same role with no ELO considerations). It's just that if you happen to be the team with a higher mmr, you are in theory the better team, and thus will be better able to get a lead and start snowballing, allowing you to achieve better cs scores and better kda and objective participation and all those good things.

One confounding factor with complete stomps though is that 20 minute surrenders do tend to hinder people getting S grades, since many of the grading criteria are likely to be per minute. Super early game tends to be pretty slow, so peoples stats/min are often lower at 20 minutes than they would be at 30 minutes when they've got a few more items (making it easier to quickly clear waves without missing any) and more teamfights are happening.

glad to know. btw this game last about 32 minutes.

what you said seems to be true

It’s based on the champion and role that you just played in a game. So, for example, we look at Annie mid differently to Annie support. We take a series of performance metrics and compare how you do to all other players in your region in your champion / position combination. It is percentile driven - so earning a high score means you performed in the top x% of players on that champ in that position. The grade itself governs the point gains.

Everything looks great, but it was your farm. You can get an s+ with a k-d of only 5-1, but ya gotta be farmed up. If you want an s+ you are looking at AT LEAST 250 farm. You must stress farm after you are doing well enough for your S grades, when you know you have an S coming, FARMMM. Steal a couple jungle camps, do watcha gotta do. I have 8 level 7 champs, so I hope you consider this advice.

Also, you're wrong about how many S+ you can receive as I have gotten 3 in a row before. All of my lvl 7 champs were earned within 45k mastery points so I know for sure there is no limit on S+ ratings, as I have in several cases received multiple.

I have hardly played Irelia so I'm not sure exactly what her average stats are to go for, but my 7's are (Nidalee, Mordekaiser, Hecarim, Ziggs, Jarvan, Rammus, Draven and Katarina) My advice goes the same for all of them, simply have a positive kd(with minimal deaths) and a crap ton of farm. There truly isn't much to earning s+.
