WE WANT LATE GAME.

The occasional stomp is okay, it has to happen sometimes, but when literally 4/5ths of my solo/duo games end in complete stomps, we've got a problem. Having the main focus of the game be on the first 15-20 minutes is problematic because the early game is determined by factors which are much more reliant on luck than the skill difference between you and your opponent. Literally a single gank, or mistake can decide the entire early game for each lane. The lane phase is completely over as soon as one side loses a tower, say bot lane gets pounded, now bot lane moves to mid lane, takes mid lane, then they go top, take top. And boom, 3 turret lead, practically game over. As a mid laner, having my laning phase completely shut down at 10 minutes is the most frustrating thing in the entire world. I'm not sure exactly what to change to fix this, but please... figure something out.

The average game time is a whopping 1 minute shorter than it was in season 5.

they're trying to make games faster for lcs, they're NEVER going to buff towers or do anything to make the game slower even though game pace in lcs hasn't changed cause you can't take risks when towers fall in 3 autos

riot's already entering the peak of bureaucratic retardation, don't expect anything from them that would make the game itself actually better

Well . . . Reverting the randomized elemental dragon, back to the basic team-wide gold. Removing the first tower gold, seriously that was a mistake. Reducing damage & mobility on some obvious abusers, or at least across the board. Returning towers' threatening presence, & undoing the minion gold buff. Buffing shutdown gold bonus, or removing it's cap (+500 gold won't help against a team 5 levels ahead with gold to match).

All seem like reasonable starting points, given the game's been getting shorter after each of these changes.

No, late game should be earned not given. Not everyone wants constant 40 min games anyway.

So you're saying that making a successful gank early game and/or defending or preventing that gank takes no skill? You're saying that knowing how to push towers and win objectives early takes no skill? You're saying rotating for objectives takes no game sense and skill?

Even if towers were stronger and the junglers weaker early, people who actually play for objectives are still going to play for objectives and rotate in an intelligent manner and leverage their lead all over the map as they should instead of keeping the lead on a corner of it.

If your bot lane gets pounded, they're gonna get pounded in a longer laning phase or a shorter one.

The most luck based thing in the game is who plays on your team vs. who plays on the enemy team.

Now I'm not saying the game is perfect and that there can't be made changes to improve game health and there aren't broken things, (i.e. Edge of Night, damage creep) my main point is that the big changes that need to happen aren't as obvious as everyone wants them to be.

It's an objective based game, not team deathmatch.

In the current state of things, lategame is uninteresting as hell. Everyone oneshoots everyone, tankiness becomes literally absolute garbage because item 3035 item 3135 exist (item 3135 's more balanced tbh, item 3035 is just absolutely ridiculous and makes building armor trolling).

Anyway, NERF DAMAGE. (for carries and tanky people of course) thank you. Also fuck CC. Buff merctreads back to 35%.

And to put in perspective, I say fuck lategame as a main Nasus/Jax which are supposedly lategame hypercarries.. my a*. They just get kited and basically oneshot in teamfights.

but it's not problematic when you get to 45 minutes and the game ends because one dickhead gets caught out? that's not "more about luck than the skill between opponents?"

I like the pace of the game, it feels great being able to pick my champs and actually getting to end before """""SKILLFUL""""" marksmen rightclick me for huge damage despite my build being almost entirely durability

late game meta is shittiest meta with how ADCs are designed

I still giggle when my team is losing and they are like " don't worry guys We got this late game"

in my head I sigh and think

" When was the last time I had a match that actually made it to "Late game""

When we had late game, people complained it was a farm fest.

You can't have an active early game and late game teamfights consistently together without making that early game so poor for snowballing that it is a farm fest for 20 minutes. I wouldn't mind this, as I am a weak laner and great team fighter, but the grass is always greener on the other side.

I think the game starts to break down after 47 minutes.

I think we just need to make minions more needed to push towers and make stall champions slightly better, like Veigar and such. I also think Nasus could use a mini-rework like Shyvana to make his Q more exciting to stack and make him more hyper carry.

Late game blows.

You realize late game is the same as early-mid game in this snowball meta, late game everyone has full build, and you get one-two shotted.
