Ok, well let me explain how to play Jinx. First you max R then Q then W then E, and I usually go QEQWQR for first 6 levels. Building crit is essential for her. While she can run a lifesteal build, she is worse at rushing it than most other ADCs. In short she needs damage and attack speed. My prefered build is
for a core (usually I get a B.F.Sword first then rush hurricane, but that is just me, but defenatly get a damage item before you grab any attack speed)
or
for boots
/
for armor pen
Then either
or
depending on how the game is going and what I need/want.
For the most part, just follow her recommended build.
Masteries are 18-12-0 or 18-0-12 (again preference)
Keystone is either Fervor of Battle or Warlord's Bloodlust
I prefer WB with 18-12-0
runes are attack speed ADC runes. (AD reds, AR yellows, MR blues, AS quints ||| sometimes players swap out a few yellows and blues with attack speed ones for a life steal quint, but this is only a preference)
Obviously take
and
for Summoner Spells
For laning, mainly you just farm. Jinx has a losing match-up into almost every other ADC when it comes to kill potential in the early game. This is because she has no mobility, a delayed snare, and no passive until she gets a kill, assist, or an objective. Managing your mana is crucial. It might be fun to poke and farm with rockets, but it drains mana pretty fast at early levels. However, use it when a good poke opportunity shows. Splash damage is easy to harass enemy champions with. Scout for enemies hiding in brush with W. It is long enough to keep you safe.
NEVER fight with just only your rockets before you get a significant amount of attack speed items (or
) at early levels. The 25% cut to your attack speed is just crippling your DPS when you have less than a 1.0 attack speed. Mini-gun is your vest bet for early game skirmishes. It allows you to easily kite with its short animation and stacking component. Basically use your rockets to deal AOE damage when needed, or to finish off a fleeing opponent with its increased range. Also, the later the game goes, the more you will switch to using the rocket form over the mini-gun form.
I would usually say once you have boots and 2 core items (usually
and
) is when you start becoming a serious threat. But before that you are meh at best.
Save your ult for executing enemies or monsters (you can sometimes steal dragon/baron if you are lucky). You can also send it towards other lanes since it is a global in hopes of sniping a low health top, jg, or mid laner.
Jinx excels at taking structures with her mini-gun. Use it over rockets, especially if an enemy is nearby as the splash could draw aggro.
