I think Irelia will never be balanced, her rework is a failure when it's come to gameplay.

Her rework has nice visuals, nice story, her design is beautiful but her Kit is awful.

Currently she is at 45% win rate and she has the lowest win rate of all champs in the game. In this case, she should get buffed but her kit is horrible and you can't buff her because otherwise, she will be permabanned in pro, she will be very annoying in solo Q (especially if mastery 7 Irelia plays her).

What makes her annoying and fustrating ? Well, it's the same thing as Yasuo. Dashes, dashes and dashes on champs that aren't assassins but who have the same mobility if not better as an assasin. Yasuo isn't fun to fight because of his mobility on minion, Irelia is the same thing.

The most toxic things in her kit are her Q and her passive. Because her W isn't very good ( i mean it's Yi W but with less damage reduction, only physical and with a little bit of dmg). Her E isn't an extraordinary spell, the CC is short but it's supposed to be used with the Q.

Her Q is too much present in her gameplay. Irelia is a fighter maybe a bruiser, not a "fatal rush" champ or an assassin. The old Irelia couldn't Q 3 times on everyone because no CD reset. Having a CD reset only for killing targets was balanced.

This spell is honestly a pain to balance. The AD ratio isn't terrible but item 3078 and Irelia passive break this spell. If you can't dash 3 times on a same target, you can apply 3 times Trinity which mean a lot of dmg. If you play good, you can simply dash on minions to escape and make short trades which don't allow your opponent to react and counter it.

Also Irelia passive is very important because all the magical bonus dmg from the passive are applied on the Q. If you want to engage with Irelia, you need to have your passive fully stacked, otherwise you don't deal dmg.

And how do you stack the passive with Irelia ? With Q ofc! Maybe you can with E or R if there are many enemies but otherwise your Q will be the only way to stack Irelia passive. And if you get it, you will win a lot of trades.

Irelia is like Yasuo, she is the kind of champ who will make your life a hell if you play a ranged champ. With this kind of mobility, she can reach you in a no time like Yasuo. But if you plays Darius vs her, she will struggle.

What i don't like in her rework, is that you made her a second version of Yasuo, i don't see the difference beetwen the 2 when they are mastered. They are annoying, mobility... Maybe Irelia is a little bit more fair because she can't block skillshoots with a windwall but basically, these 2 champs are supposed to be fighters but you gave them the mobility of assassins.

Her reset dash is too much important in her kit to allow her to be balanced. + she don't need it. Irelia is a melee fighter, she isn't an assassin. I don't see why she should be able to reach backline as fast as assassins. I think you could have make a more healthy gameplay for Irelia.

Also her regen is now on her Q, before it's was on her W which mean she had to AA to regen and actually fight. Now she can only dash on minions and regen HP but that mean you don't need to AA for regen.

I love Irelia but it's suck to not be able to play her expect vs ranged matchup. She is Yasuo v2... Excellent vs Ranged and suck vs melee champs which is not what you expect from a fighter.

That champion needs a re-rework tbh. She was so unhealthy to play against that she was literally autowin no matter what you do.

I literally dropped divisions solely from Irelia mid. It didn't matter if you get fed or snowballed. She just rushed tri-force, splitpush and required half my team to stop her, while her team group up for objectives or pushing further.

Where the fuck was counterplay to this shit?

You CC her and blow her up. It's the only counterplay Riot approves now days.

CC is literally the counterplay for every champion.

If this is the only thing to counter a champ then Irelia is just an unhealthy piece of trash designed champion. Morello himself did say she was a mistake when she 1st came out new (how it even got released is beyond me).

Irelia is a champion meant for a new league of legends. The one where shit like Kaisa is the standard pick.

irelia rework is stellar tbh. her old kit was all about how you position yourself with the Q, this is a logical and well executed progression. she could also be just as mobile around minions with her old kit.

Yeah but her old kit didn't allow her to proc trinity 3 times on champs. The dash reset only applied when she killed a target.

Now with her E and R, she can reset her dash without having to kill the enemy champ.

actually her old kit could proc trinity 5 times if you wanted, maybe 6, in an engagement ofc, 1v1. and allowed her to heal up on entire creep waves while doing so for far less mechanical effort. so yeah :/ it was also true dmg sheen procs which is still a mindfuck. the new irelia is just all around better than her old one, not on a numbers basis but on a design and gameplay basis.

There was also the awful point and click stun that punished the opposing player for playing well and winning a fight against the irelia.

Irelia is perfectly Viable

No she isn't, she has a 45% win rate.

The champ kit is too much cancer so she can't be buff.

winnrates dont mean anything

Winrates don't always tell you the whole story, but we will look at it first. Notice this trend Bronze: 44.03 Silver: 44.84 Gold: 44.27 Platnium: 46.8 Diamond: 44.38 Masters: 53.03 Grand Masters: 48.19 Challenger: 52

Players that are mechanically worse tend to struggle on a mechanically intense champion. Irelia is not a begginer champion she was not designed to be noob friendly.

Aurelion sol is a great second example. His mains are the only one that do well on him.

Irelia is clearly in a VERY healthy spot. Bronze players can put up mediocre numbers, but mains can climb and Challengers can dominate with skill. Master+ players clearly play her how she was designed and win with it. Or are you going to argue Bronze players have something figured out that Challengers don't?

A parallel champion is something like Garen

Bronze: 53.86 Silver: 53.12 Gold: 52.36 Platnium: 49.72 Diamond: 48.02 Masters: 52.02 (Outlier of 69 games 34/35 so not a big deal) Grand Masters: 40 Challenger: 45.45

You'll notice a basic champion with a low skill floor has the opposite curve. Bronze players cannot abuse Garens weaknesses so they struggle. Irelias are easier to abuse because the player will usually make the mistake.

These two champions were designed to be like this and are both perfectly healthy.

I really want to know where you saw Irelia having the lowest winrate of all champions. League of Graphs has 5 to 8 other champions with worst winrate than her depending on whether you want to include low elo or not.
