Kayle and Constant Nerfs

League of Legends patch 9.8 notes - Worlds 2018 and new Legendary Zed skins

Can someone explain why they keep nerfing Kayle? As you can see in the planned 9.8 changes Kayle is receiving another nerf. So many champions do that kind of burst damage and aren’t getting nerfs (Talon, Darius, Yasuo). Everyone has a gimmick but why are they making Kayle’s weaker and weaker???

She has one of the highest winrates in the game and she's really easy to play. Nerfs should be expected.

Um look at winrates dude. Lmao and the fact that you lumped Darius in there is astounding. Sure, he does burst damage...after he walks up to you and puts five stacks on you and if he manages to keep you in range, all while eating damage and hoping he doesn't die. Lmao darius's winrate is actually kind of bad too. Kaylee on the other hand, who I do like to play some, has been a monster due to a surprisingly safe early game and amazing scaling regardless of whether or not she gets put behind

Because her late game is so fucking absurdly powerful.

They seem to want to keep her being a 1v9 monstrosity once 35 min hits, so in order to """"""""""balance"""""""""""" it they have to keep hitting her early game until it kind of evens out.

It will never actually work, since that balance sweet spot is not only hard to find but is also constantly changing because it's reliant on the meta and general state of the game in addition to, you know, kayle's actual power level. It's basically the whole issue with crit marksmen except magnified to another level.

Because she is really strong for how easy she is to play, and her weaknesses aren't even that debilitating
