End of season frustrations?

Was going to try to see how far I could get by end of season and have just completely given up on it at this point. I've had 4 d/c's and two afk teammates among a host of other problems and weird matchmaking (being paired against all higher silvers with all bronze on my side is so much fun). Add that on to a couple of regular ol' normal bad games and it's just /facepalm.

I'm posting this because I want to know is this normal? Does this happen at the end of every season? I've only been playing for a few months so far. It seems like all the people who play normally all stopped playing to stay in whatever tier they were and everyone left is trolling. I'm not the best player in the world either, but I at least had a good amount of kills and usually positive KDA and saved my allies a couple times during every game.

I can't do much about it now, but I want to know it's not just me.

I'm with you 100%. Got a buddy who made Plat 5, and stopped playing ranked within a month of season end. I, on the other-hand, got to Gold and wanted to go further. I got to Gold 3, then either I played bad, or I got some serious trolls, because I couldn't scratch past 3, and ended up in 5. It happens. I don't remember last seasons end all too well, but I think most of the people who take ranked serious, stopped playing once they hit their goal, and just play norms, and play the occasional ranked match to keep them from dropping.

sounds like you were in a duo to me. play solo and that doesnt really happen.

Eh, just had an enemy lucian dumpster all over my vayne and take both bot towers by the 12 min mark. Still managed to eek out a win as veigar. :D (wanted to punch the announcer lady for every time she said "an enemy is legendary!")

Your games are basically a mixture of trolls, elo boosters and frustrated people trying to hard carry to victory.

If you aren't where you want 2 weeks before close then forget about it, it's the same every season.

The booster spam particularly makes everything worse.

If you do good in lane try to translate this in pressure latter on , bait your team - push a lane . The more pressure the better , it wins games that seem lost .

Yesterday my bot lane went 0/24 in 20 mins , we won even when our ADC afk-ed at the end .

EDIT actually they went 1/24 . Cait got some random kill .

While obviously there was no way I could get to Gold 5 in a few weeks, especially with my schedule, I figured I would at least get out of Bronze 5. That ain't happening tonight.

I think Riot should extend the season until the end of the month... What do you all think?

It's just you. The high silvers had even MMR with your team, so the match was fair. The "league system" is basically just a cover for the S1/S2 elo system that is still in operation behind the scenes. The only matchmaking factor is MMR.
