9 goddamn LP?!!? Really?!?!

So I just played a 40 minute game which was REALLY close(I mean they had bs late with vlad and vayne and on top of it rammus vs our full ad team). And around the 30minute mark i had a short dc(for reasons unknown). No one else dced on neither of the teams. And in the end we still barely pulled it out. And guess what was our victory prize? 9 LP!!! 9 goddamn LP with enemy team getting loss prevented. I mean I don't mind them getting Loss Prevented even though our whole team saw them always as 5 on drakes and barons with no member being dced(whatever...good for them). But why do we have to get 9 lp for pulling out the impossible and winning this nervewrecking match???
