Characters that out range her with high damage, like Lux, or mobile characters with high damage, like Leblanc, or just a tank mid, like Sion, are all very good against her. You could also just predict and react, if you dodge ult with flash or mobility ability then you have almost destroyed her way of dealing a lot of damage to you because she lost ult and most likely fully charged stun as well.

Then you burned your mobility and get killed by the sustained damage Tibbers brings instead.

pick a squishy immobile champ that, when they miss their only cc, annie can flash r and you're dead before you can breathe.

pick hyper mobile champ that annie can press q on for free stun, then press r ignite

pick a tank mid so annie can shove you to tower and roam bot

saying "dodge her ult" is like saying dodge Anivia's ult or Lux's E. They aren't possible to miss when you get past gold

I've never had any problems with an Annie mid unless I was playing something stupid like singed mid. Even then I usually win. You just don't know how / when to poke or engage or not

QuickenedBlade2 votes

yeah dood dont engage when she holds stun forever in lane then when you even think about getting 1cs she flash ult ignites and you're dead and still get 0 cs

you're also silver

im talking about diamond+

I mean.... You're bronze 5... So....

Every champ has counter play, you just need the experience with playing all champions to get familiar on what those are. Even if someone is playing a broken Fed OP champ of the week, you can still out/counter play the person playing that champ, if you take time in lane to analyze and study their reactions, timing, how they move, how they dodge etc. it's like playing cards, many players have "tells" that you can use and abuse.

Once you get comfortable with the timings and ranges of all champs' abilities and your own, you'll find ways to play against the craziest shit with random champions i.e. Soraka mid lane. Strategical and tactical understanding and game knowledge will take you much further than just mechanics alone.

Or just play Fiora.

While that doesn't really prove that plat account is yours; even if you are, you still have problems with Annie at that elo....

To survive Annie's burst, much like other champions, you need to do one of three things. (I'm past gold so your excuse doesn't work)

  1. You predict it, and flash/use a mobility spell to get out of range. (Or stay out of range in the first place)

  2. You have a heal/shield support nearby that doesn't stack on top of you that allows you to survive the burst

3)Build a defensive item. It can just be a negatron, that is enough. Also, TAKE MR BLUES. Trust me, It makes a world of difference.

QuickenedBlade1 votes

i build negatron and still die instantly.

not going in range isn't simple. if she has flash and ult ready, she can be as aggro as she wants and you will not get any cs for the entire game. Laning phase is about farming. If her zoning range is past your turret and to africa, how is that fair to play against? You need to try to trade at the exact same time you go in for a cs or you'll take 500 free damage from qw.

or rely on teammates to shield. ?

If you have negatron and MR runes, she is already fed. Any mage would do that to you at that point.

Get negatron, and poke her down. She is fairly low range outside of her ult, which still isn't great on range. That is why she relies so much on flash. Poke her down to the point where if she tries it, you can just burst her back. I promise you unless she has a huge lead early game she will not be 100-0ing you if you have MR runes and negatron.

Once she trades with you and doesn't have stun, PUNISH HER. Take agressive trades while it is down, especially pre-6.

You had me and outrange and then lost me with mobility...ESPECIALLY when you said Leblanc since Annie dumpsters Leb.

Otherworldz2 votes

Play Syndra or Orianna mid.

If you're playing zed or talon on annie you deserve to lose. Stuns are the kryptonite to all assassins.

Problem solved.

MinaZer03 votes

pretty sure stuns are everyone kryptonite lol

QuickenedBlade3 votes

play orianna > annie protobelt r ignite dead

You think annie has zero counterplay. Go back toa time leblanc had a silence on q, her chain slowed, and could go 4000 health on a mundo to zero with a deathfire touch.
Leblanc

MinaZer01 votes

deathfire annie was still stronger back then.. annie is her weakest spot she has ever been still 1 shots shit doesnt mean im agreeing with OP just saying.

you can counterplay an Annie really damn easy dude ._. not many Build protobelt on Annie and those who do have to leave out on one potential item of much higher value and/or use. Annie is very immobile and her AoE impact ranges are small, her W is a cone of qustionable thickth and her tibbers may have a wide range but the placement of that doombear, aka the explosion radius is also small. having said that playing Annie takes a lot of reaction time and proper aim because you can fuck up easily, and you can abuse that against her by getting her to panic press or push against her hard.

having said THAT you Need to be wary of ganks and potential Turnarounds from her with an attempt to 100-0 you. in the earlygame annie's burst wont take down anyone instantly, she still Needs her ignite and a couple of tibbers AA-s to propely get someone dead, so you can abuse that nerfed earlygame scaling aswell...

reading what i said you will realize one Thing, playing with or vs Annie is all about the lane abuse. Annie fares bad against lanebullies and people who strongly outrange her aswell as very mobile champions which however will take very good prediction. i as a zed main find myself struggling vs good annies, but i also get my good moments when i properly dodge her tibbers. but if you want something easier that takes a lil less effort and godlike predictionplays, i recommend either harrass-capable champs like orianna and syndra aswell as champions that can outrange Annie, per say brand xerath velkoz ahri and porentially viktor but viktor is a neutral zone for me because Annie can very well fuck him over with a flash.

in a nutshell, Annie counterplays are range, laneharrass and reactiontime
