Anyone else back after 3 camps?

I'm looking for a more efficient early game jungling, as thats where it's most difficult So, I decided I will back immediately after clearing 1 side of the jungle which MOST champs can do...and you get just enough to upgrade machete and buy 1 ward the machete upgrade either gives me better clears, better ganks and more money but I've noticed alot of people dont do this? they go clear the entire jungle and then some...

for farm heavy junglers who are capable enough, I dont back till I have 1500g for devourer enchant other cases where I need warrior, I back for 2 long sworsd due to simply being low on health is there any downsides to my strategy?

I don't see the value in recalling immediately for just a machete upgrade, I'd rather full clear so that the next set of camps spawns faster. I generally jungle with Vi and this is my path:

Krugs -> Red -> Wolves -> Blue -> Gromp -> Recall

When I get back to the jungle I go directly to my raptors and clear them with a trailblazer smite. This gives me vision and I'm full hp for my first gank, which I generally direct towards mid lane. Once that's done all of my smaller camps are back so I can go farm my jungle again or gank, depending on the situation I see.

To me, it gives more value to the jungle camps I will do I get more gold per camp if I got the machete upgrade like how each camp will have even more value once I get devourer On top of more gold, I get a stack

After I clear 3 camps and back and come back to do the other 3, odds are the initially 3 have respawned

you do get a little extra gold early, but i value the early experience far more. your first round of ganks will not include the extra gold you receive for recalling early, and you likely will not recall again until you've full cleared your jungle once more.

in the end it puts you down a net of 2 camps if you recall early at the expense of a little extra time spent on clearing. you will notice that many junglers are equal to their team's support player in level. this is due to inefficient routes and slow clear and/or lots of failed ganks.

i might on my less sustain junglers like shyvana. and maybe buy a doran blade or pots. depends what runes im running though, sometimes i opt for scaling rules which makes me squishy.

Just getting into jungling and wondering the same thing except I'm opposite and clear the entire jungle before going back since I have enough health to do so. I read somewhere else that it is more efficient to get the machete upgrade asap since you earn more gold with it.
