Odyssey's missions break a fundamental rule about how missions are supposed to work

/dev: On Missions - Nexus

TL:DR; The missions asking you to play with X total augments lower the queue health of Onslaught difficulty dramatically.

> Principle #1: Missions don’t troll your games. This is a delicate area. It’s important to us that missions don’t negatively impact your games. This means missions can’t encourage players to play to lose or to play in sub-optimal ways. However, we’re making an exception for situations where all five players are signed up for the same challenge. Good mission: Win three games with at least 10 kills/assists. Bad mission: Win a game with 300 AD as Lux.

The quote above is from the nexus post about goals for missions. The Onslaught difficulty missions require a whole team to agree to play suboptimally, and the implementation is terrible. In every lobby, arguments are held for 90 seconds which fundamentally boil down to, "if you don't play how I want to, I will surrender and/or troll your game." I felt like it should've been obvious to any designer, players don't like being forced to play a way they don't want to play, and these missions provide a perverse incentive for players to hold their teammates hostage, especially since they won't lose MMR for throwing. The missions intending to crank the difficulty past onslaught should've had any number of different conditions: Require the mission to be cleared with a premade 5, clear the mission if you have 4 or fewer augments even if your teammates don't, make a separate queue or a blog post leading to an LFG page so that players can easily find others who want the achievement, or scrap the mission entirely since there are other ways to reward players for making their game more challenging without asking them to play suboptimally. Don't even get me started on the missions requiring whole teams to play a certain champion, at least you can clear them on an easy difficulty so players have stopped trolling by the time you get to onslaught. The terrible implementation on missions has made it so hard to find a good game on onslaught difficulty that I've given up trying. Please take your own advice next event and avoid missions that incentivize suboptimal play.

Yeah the missions should have requirement to be a 5-man premade. I mean I managed to do the onslaught with 3 augments on a random group as 5 yasuo but. I feel like it was sheer luck to get 4 good people that all wanted the same mission (i needed the 4 or less augments but ofcourse i equipped 3)

ive completed all my missions with randoms, i dont see why everyone wants it to be just 5 man related,
