The hook landed fine though.
There's also the ping of Thresh you didn't account for, as well as yours, and the fact that it would hit you one way or another.
Its hitbox is fat enough to grab you at the beginning of the dash. which it most likely did.

not really you can stand still with a thresh and he can still grab you from a really bad hook. it has a bad hitbox.
Actually, fun fact for ya. Thresh hook hitbox expands the further the projectile has traveled. For easier juking, do the unthinkable and move not only sideways but also diagonally toward thresh.
Ahem, Riot we need matching visuals for hitboxes!
The tip of the actual scythe got you as you were still connectable with its hitbox, just remember that threshes hook is based off of the Scythe, not the chain.
This one us way more reasonable than some of the other ones I've seen. Looks like Lucian just dashed too late.

Thats alot like what happens to tristana.
Basically if i remember this correctly tristana doesn't actually move from that spot until shes a little more than halfway through the jump then her position updates. It could be the same thing here where Lucian isn't fully in the new spot until at somepoint in between the dash.
With some dashes you actually remain at your beginning spot a lot longer than you think. Fizz's q for example. I once q'd through a minion to escape a leona ult. I was outside of the ult, but still dashing when it hit, but I was still stunned. The lucian dashed too late.

That isn't a wonky hitbox, that's just skillshots interacting oddly with champions moving suddenly.

's dash doesn't move the hit box until the end of the dash. If you play with classic
you can see that he winds up then dashes whereas this skin has him move throughout the animation. Needless to say the animation was only half over so his hit box still hadn't moved.
No, thresh hooks automatically gravitate towards champions, so theres a high chance to land a hit, even when you miss. becuase fuck having skill.
Heat-seeking chains, spears, and fists. Aye, some of those hit boxes are still really bad.
Actually I think this has more to do with how riot codes dashes in the game. I am thinking that the game might still be placing Lucian at the start of his dash rather than dynamically moving him until the end of the dash

Yeah, I noticed that happens with leblanc too. If you throw a skillshot at her W circle before she finishes the dash it lands.
Indeed. Riot should really consider fixing that, because if that is actually the case then that would be quite sloppy. I have noticed it with things like Trist jump as well, and sej's leap.
Same thing with trist, PTSD with the hop not actually working and getting slammed back to reality half way through the hop
Mostly right its that this skin has him move before his hit box moves since it thins out the animation but it also means that his hit box isn't where he actually is. The price you pay to look nice.
Pretty certain it does the same for his base skin as well. There are actually quite a few examples of this (or similar) happening.
LOL it looks like that chain followed you xD
This is a mix of ping and a bad dodge
If you used quickcast you probably would've dodged it.
It's quickcast with range indicators
It's faster with the range indicator off.
thats not how range indicator works
Action on press is faster than action on release thats how range indicator works
It's honestly really fun to just watch this over and over.
My hook on blitz often times passes through the enemy but doesn't hook them.. Happens w/ Lux bind also it seems. :( 30-40 ping, 60fps..
I paused it. Thresh hook connected.
But Riot should look into fixing Morg q and Leblanc E.
Riot's too busy with giving everyone so much damage that tanks are assassinating squishies, assassins are assassinating tanks, and everyone needs some insanely broken combination of mobility and damage to avoid being assassinated, and so that they can maybe assassinate everyone else with their own broken combination of mobility and damage.
Why fix fundamental flaws with the game when you can just make all these changes to keep the game "fresh"?
Still better then LeBlanc's chain.
This happens to me, but its not an object of thresh, its that your hitbox doesnt move until your dash is over.
Trist is the same way. SO its the dash hitbox, not the hook that needs the help
If i remember correctly. Vayne and Lucians dashes don't displace the hitbox until the dash is complete. So until your dash is done, your hitbox is still at where you started.
Riot made 1.6 billion. They're never going to fix anything cause they don't have to.

's dash doesn't move his hit box until the entire animation finishes. Although he wasn't visually there his hit box still was and the same thing would have happened with any skill shot.
