how to fix akali

edited cuz some things were pointed out and i made better.

passive: -Reduce the ring size to be the exact same as a max range Q -hitting enemy champion with passive restore energy (idk, something like 40% of total) instead of very small flat amount -no movement speed bonus (or just very low) -only proc from Q

Q: -cost around 70% of max energy -increase cd to like 2.5 or 3 sec

W: -instead of invisibility, it works like a bush in one way and like Graves W in the other way -akali inside is invisible to enemy but visible if they are inside of the smoke -enemy cant see far outside of the smoke when they are inside of it -no movement speed buff -no energy regained

E: -im not sure, i think it may or may not be fine after the other changes -energy cost around 20%

R: -first dash puts a mark on everyone hit -second dash doesnt do % of missing hp dmg unless its marked target -second dash has small cast time before activating (like Cassiopeia 's ultimate)

ok, so how will theses changes fix her

her W weakness would make her weaker vs melee but stronger vs ranged (would force them to get close or not see)

amount of energy cost would allow to Q+aa+Q+aa+E... as a full combo (excluding ult)

if she lands Q from full range she doesnt need to back away before going towards you, but without the movement speed you can back off if you react well enaugh. if you manage to back off and let her lose her passive, you will have some time where she doesnt have enaugh energy to use her Q punishing her for failing to engage. she has a harder time chasing down rather than just outrunning everyone.

in teamfight she will be less of a treat since a team can go in shroud and kill her, but that team would then lose vision of everything else (like the Graves smoke) giving her more utility in teamfights

you cant blindly engage since W can be played around and you need to hit your passive between abilities if you want to cast them again making Q poke only work once and then you have to wait for energy to come back slowly over time. (usually would just Q twice and then shroud to gain it back, so you dont have to actually fight to deal dmg)

since you can see a bit outside of the smoke ring, akali cant just go in and out to make you cancell aa constantly, so you can still fight her if you dive into the smoke.

i think E was only anoying because she could escape right after full fight where you couldnt fight back, since you can actually fight her, E wont be anoying.

If you use first part of R as mobility instead of sett up, you lose some dmg on second part (or if you just miss it, its instant fast and long so its fine) avoiding a situation where akali just dash from over wall deletes you with just Q+aa+R small delay of 0.20 sec or something similar would allow to outplay with flash but still be difficult to do.

I think having W like that would be interesting, but it would make her defenseless against champs who can get in there easily. She needs W to be able to get off her passive quickly and safely in teamfights. If she could be revealed that easily she would be very awkward to play in teamfights and skirmishes. Just having CC reveal her was way too much in the 10.3 nerfs, they had to remove it from the nerfs because It made it impossible for her kit to function.

The Q idea might make her really irritating against melee champs too, enabling her to Q auto Q and reset her energy every time would be very annoying to play against. She could just stick onto you and kill you. Most Akali players don't do Q Q without autoing in between. She is already rewarded enough for autoing, I think that rewarding her more for autoing would enforce her toplane playerstyle more than mid.

I really do like your idea of R marking a target and then allowing her to do her max health on that target. It would remove the issue of her long kill range without making it unsatisfying. I also think adding a small cast time is a good idea, it makes it easier to counterplay her ult at higher ranks and doesn't change much in lower ranks.

I agree that E doesn't really need to be changed too, it rewards her for landing skillshots which is good.

What if her empowered auto's condition was to use two abilities rather than break the circle around the target she hits with an ability? This would mean she could get it from using Q twice, Q>W, E>E, E>Q, R>Q, etc... This biggest issue with Akali is her spamming her passive auto. If you limit it to a stack similar to an Annie stun (indicator wise) it allows for people to play safer before the next time she can use it. You can adjust the amount of spells needed to balance it of course, it could be 3-4 stacks that dont fall off, it could be 2-3 that do fall off but her ultimate fills multiple stacks, or whatever other way people want to adjust it to balance it.
