Help me understand jungle role plz? what does riot want it to be?
So i have been playing jungle a lot, my favorite role and with all the changes to the jungle it's been making me wonder what does riot want the jungle role to be? To me it sometimes feels like riot doesn't want the jungle to be a carry position, instead they want it more to be kind of a second support role. Since the beginning of this pre-season riot changed the jungle camps to respawn much less frequently and now Junglers have a lot less access to gold and experience which makes it hard to think they want it to be a carry position. At the same time they constantly talk about reducing the early impact of junglers, this then makes me wonder when exactly do they want a jungler to get involved in the game? In mid-game team fights?
I personally love carry junglers, and I don't want it to be a second support position. Let's face it in solo Q you don't always get the best teammates or even reliable ones so when your on a more utility focused jungle like sej, naut, or amumu you can't always rely on you carries to farm well, use your ganks you gave them and turn that into a lead. Instead you can only rely on yourself to carry the game.
I personally feel like junglers should at least have the option to choose between assassin junglers, more carry oriented junglers, or utility/ tank jungers. Already we've had assassin junglers removed from what I can tell :/ ( eve used to be one until she got nerfed, kha isn't in the greatest spot, nocturne on release was meant to be an assassin but he's built more bruiser now).
Any thoughts?
