Thoughts on taking the spider lady mid lane?

So just played a game as elise mid lane against a fizz. pre like 15 minutes was back and forth with i think 2 1 for 1's fizz got 2 ganks i got 1. I realize fizz is not a terrible match up for elise and that against some of the burst oriented ranged mid champs she might miss the mark, but I felt like she could be a viable mid champ in certain match ups and team comps if you built pure ap assassin . I was just curious about peoples opinions on this Idea.

I want to clarify that I dont think this one game in any way represents her abilities as a mid laner just because I did well in one game. Im just curious of the possibilities.

Our Zed went against an Elise mid last game. Her damage was so high, those spiders are awful to deal with. She rekt him.

Elise mid probably viable against any melee champion.

I agree. I feel like some of her ranged match ups wouldnt be absolutely terrible. I would NOT EVER want to play against a galio, syndra, or velkoz with her though :/ ewww
