Why are permanently banned account names held for 2 and a half years? I feel as though that doesn't make much sense. If someone wants to spend money in your store to change names why would you hold those names? If there's a reason that's fine I'm just curious.
Perma banned accounts have a chance of being reinstated down the line if someone proves themselves innocent, so they have to keep names.
Does ban names follow the same rules for inactive names? I would think they'd keep the name unavailable especially if the name was the reason for the ban (eg racist names) plus like others have said it would help not let people who were ban not get their name so quickly.
It's another punishment for players who have been permanently banned, so that they can't get their name back immediately.
