Azir Laning Phase Help plz

I’ve recently taken to maining azir mid and while my mechanics are improving and I’m often able to establish lane dominance, I’m almost never able to actually get a solo kill early on as azir. I very very often seem to just be lacking a little bit of extra damage to finish of my laner at 100ish hp many times. I’ve toyed with the idea of taking ignite but without barrier I feel like I’d be too vulnerable and I might just end up dying. Any tips for how to get that litle bit of extra damage during the laning phase?

I thought this was a post to help lane AGAINST azir. I was going to say Xerath . But hey, one less good azir player is an ass-saver to me.

Yeah it is something that has been so with azir since his release... quite frustrating at first.

Actually he shouldn’t be able to kill people. On the other hand, he pokes extremely well and relatively safely. You don’t need a kill, but you need to get your opponent out of the lane, making him loose 1 wave. Like this you set up an advantage.

(Don’t forget that a kill is 300 gold which is about 15 creeps)
