Anyone miss old heimy (pre 2013)?
You could argue that he was unbalanced, but it was still fun to use him. Plus, balance is kinda screwed right now anyway.
Passive: For one, it was cool because it was yhe only way a tower can restore its health. Plus, it allowed his own turrets easier to hold on to. His team benefited, sure, but that's not where it shined! Now, you have a speed boost when near a turret or tower, but you have to practically hug the thing before you get anything. That doesn't seem helpful to me.
Turrets: You started with one, but leveling it up made it obvious that it improved as a skill. In order, upgrades made the turret deduct MR for a couple seconds (max 40 stacks), allow a second one to be built, gave the turret extra health, and then made its attacks deal splash damage. Another great part is that they were always active until he placed them elsewhere or got destroyed. This means you could place the turrets in a lane and let them contribute to base defense while teamfighting elsewhere.
Rockets: They could only be cast when enemies are in range, but they seem their targets. Upgrading them only increased damage.
Grenades: Same story as now, but the animation wasn't as good admittedly.
Upgrade: Instead of letting you use one boosted basic skill for free, it upgraded them all at once. During the duration:
Turrets slow all targets hit More rockets are fired Grenades travel faster
I can't be alone here when I saw I miss old heimy.
