Solos new dragons at lvl 2. Solos new Herald as soon as he spawns. Solos Baron at lvl 13.
Because Riot has no fuckin clue what they are doing anymore.
Malzahar became an extrmely safe objective focused jungler in the same patch as jungle objectives became extremely powerful. the current fotm for malzahar and the knee-jerk super nerfs hes received since his rework, which itself was a staggering nerf, is a product of a near-perfect enviornment in which malzahar was put into.
What people dont realize;
- Malzahar has enabler ganks. He has very little burst at all points in the game, and relies on allies to actually burst and/or kill enemies for ganks.
- Malzahars voidlings have very low damage output unless stacked, and are very easily destroyed with a single spellblade proc or AoE ability.
- Malzahars passive can be popped easily, and if you want him dead it means (just like with LOTS of other champions) you need to commit after you pop it.
- AP items in general were nerfed. the maximum amount of AP obtainable while maintaining an optimal build has dropped greatly this season.
ad malz has always been a strong jungler
now you can do it building ap too
i cleared camps faster with former ad malz as i could actually direct my voidlings and could clear 2/3 camps at the same time go and beat that clearspeed m8
also lvl 2/3 drakes because i could etc etc
nothing much has changed except now hes slower but he can build ap, and his ganks are worse becasue he lacks burst

Basically riot's team decided to put all of his power into his voidlings on his W. Now because they spawn a new one every time the most recent spawned one hits monster, the minions are insanely OP in the jungle.
That said, everything other than the broken W is complete trash. Everything in his kit is now centered around the W. Although once they nerf the power of his W, he will probably be trash tier, as there is no other part of his kit worth playing around.
On the other hand, number 2 jungler? Feedlesteeks.
