Mordekaiser - No Longer A Caster

I have noticed, having had the conversation about 30 times in game (as they spam ping the items I buy until I hit someone), that it seems very few people noticed Morde's shift to being primarily an AD champion.

His Q (always has), his E, and even his Ultimate scale off of AD. Using a T-Force and Dark Harvest his damage output is immense. Still running a Gunblade, but with other items such as Black Cleaver and Stark's turn him into his old Raid Boss self.

Yes. The slow from Rylai's is nice, but ultimately that is all he now gains by diving into AP, and can be far more effective with a mallet.

The ability itself, yes. However, the ghost has an AD factor to its basic attacks.

"Champion ghosts gain 100% of Mordekaiser's bonus AD as bonus AD and 15% of Mordekaiser's maximum health as bonus health, and while Mordekaiser has a champion enslaved he gains 25% of their bonus health as bonus health and 30% of their AP as bonus AP. Dragon ghosts gain bonus range and modified movement speed."

If you don't play Mordekaiser full AP you're playing him wrong.

If you don't play Mordekaiser full AP you're playing him wrong.

Do you consider using Trinity Force and Steraks a bad decision if the enemy team has a squishy comp? Serious question.

If they're squishy you can just nuke em with full AP.

Steraks+TF is only good against heavy dive comps where you need to survive the initial impact of a fight and then win through the DPS.

The combo is DPS centric, not burst.

His ultimate gives his ghosts 100% of his AD as bonus AD. You are aware of this, yeah? He also gains 30% of the target's AP, however being as he almost invariably targets an ADC - he gains no reciprocal AP from them at all. W also has a terrible scaling with his AP at anyrate, and is basically used as a very brief damage shield, and then a self heal - a self heal he merely intensifies via Gunblade and AD.

Please, that's a 380+0.6 AP heal. disregarding the 120% Ap ratio.

This i disagree.

W gets decent scaling, and this is his bread and butter ability, for sustain, for AOE damage, for tankines, and for MS gap close. And even though the ghost does not give him AP, it still has the source's AD values for the auto attacks. I think the AP value on the ghost is more oriented towards making AP units a justifiable target for the ult as well, instead of just the ADCs.
