Can Varus get "Grounded" on his E

I feel like this could be what Varus really needs. I dont think asking his slow to be kept on the E is too much to ask for but if they have to remove anything to compensate for giving him grounded then i'm all for it, if you think about it this fits his kit extremely well.

Edit: I see alot of post so i thought i would add more of my own thoughts. Varus is a very niche adc, he works well with hard engage and people who can peel for him like a leona but my problem with him is he seems almost unable to remain in a fight if situations are not perfect. Tons of adc can tilt a fight back in favor by re-positioning, Varus does not have this option, if they want his kit to be lock down adc that's what they should make him.

Good idea. He doesn't have any escapes so seems fair and allows him to aa for the W passive.

I think he should, and it fits I mean really how are you going to quickly dash with a hail of arrows pinning your feet to the ground?

Varus is my favourite champ but i got to admit his kit is kind of messed up. Half of it doesnt suit the other half.

His passive and W force him to get close and auto attack enemies. BUT his Q, E and R are all poking moves.

Half of his kit forces him closer to the action but the other half forces him to get behind the lines and just poke. I think he should be reworked so that he is either one of these. In my opinion i think a mainly poking kit would be better and maybe one move that gives his auto attacks a boost.

His passive is terrible. Early game and wave clearing its okay but other than that its useless. His W should be his passive and he should get an actual ability. Maybe he could even be turned into a mage. Mid lane varus ad caster is way better than adc varus anyway. I think if they changed most of his moves to AP scaling he could make a good mage. Actually ap varus can be played right now and i think it could become meta if, say, they changed his W to a non passive AP ability.

So either make him an actual adc, an actual ad caster or an actual mage. Make up your mind riot.

varus needs mor ethen this . i like him how ever he is to me liek the weakest adc. Slow as hell not the greatest auto attack range , ult range could use a longer distance , no self attack speed like other adcs his passive doesnt count..... relyis on his q for damage. his one benefit is his w and thats really it

Is he really under preforming that much?

Overall he is not doing overall that bad but just not his kind of meta.

Varus is fine, he just isnt an ADC anymore.
