A few ideas for item passives to make tanks relevant again.

Right now, tanks are virtually irrelevant. You know it, I know it, but Riot appears to not know it, or is willingly choosing to ignore it. Unfortunately, a full build ADC or APC can 100-0 a full built tank in less than 3 seconds, and that's a HUGE problem considering tanks are supposed to damage sponges that extend the length of a teamfight and make team strategy and coherence more important, not "MUH LCS B1GPLAYZ". A well built and positioned tank should be able to easily hold the line by himself for 15-30 seconds in a team fight, but should be virtually useless in the damage department. The main culprits causing the problems are the LW/VS defense reduction, the % damage provided by BotRK and LT, and heavy reliance on crit hits.

The other key problem is that some people, including Riot, believe defensive purchases should be a reactionary purchase. While this is a nice thought, the lack of item choices for tanks make it very hard to have much of any variability in tank items. By providing more build options, both early and late game, it allows the reactionary philosophy to actually be a viable option again.

I've got a few ideas of items and passives for items. Obviously these numbers are subject to tweaking, but I think it could make being a tank a viability again. Obviously these have to be lower costs as tanks don't typically have the immense farming ability that the carries/bruisers do. The other important thing is to make sure that these items aren't going to make brusiers too OP as well.

So, anywho, onto my item ideas. Most will be based out of old items to save Riot the trouble of creating new artwork (at least until I run out of old items names to use). Name/price/recipe/stats subject to adjustments.

Add them all Riot should entertain these on the PBE and we can just see how it goes. I doubt it would be bad for game health

One question If 5 champs have soul shroud and Karthus ults all of them, will the cooldown be 50% higher

I would be perfectly fine with all of these being added. I would love to see a lot of items be added

Good ideas...but... Taric would be next to UNSTOPPABLE with Leviathan, maybe knock it down to ~5%, not 15, otherwise really good Sion would be invincible and the perfect anti-ad champion with the Meki Pendant, Poison Tunic, and the Runic Bulwark, leaving 3 extra item slots for nothing but damage. Runic Bulwark should be instead be a flat reduction, not % based. The cooldown increasing items should also be something like 10 Seconds(+1 per 100 armor and magic resist)

Like I said in the OP, the numbers are definitely tweak-able, they're just generic concepts for ideas of things to add to make tanks more useful.

Bruisers would Just pick that stuff up and do the Tanks Job better. Tank buffs have to come from the champion kit. If you want tanks to benefit from tank Items. They need to Scale well with said tank items. A good example would be Garens W which increases his Armor and MR by 20%.

I would Probably argue that the Items you suggest would Over do the Tankyness. When a better way to give Tanks more Utility is to give him a unique yet niche power. I would Probably say that ZZ'rots portal is one of the most Important New Items for tanks. (Just as soon as the fix the bugs.)
