why is annies ult instant, aoe and lots of damage and able to proc her passive,

Annies damage and abilities in general are fine. i think their damage is fine for a burst mage, i think her range is fine, and her cooldowns are ok. what i dont think is fine is her passive, which isnt op, but its unfair. i feel like with the ult being instant, long range, and aoe, her passive becomes unfair. the new indicator for her passive is fine, but it didnt change the fact that she can flash ult e q your team. all i see when that red line is there is "dont be within 5 miles of her or you die."

I hope you guys realize that Annie has 3 real abilities. Two of them are really, REALLY weak, and then there's tibbers

her q is targeted and refunds the mana and half the cd if it kills something, which makes her farming really good. her w is basically a wierd thornmail. her e is instant, aoe and good damage (does more than her q). the biggest problem is the instant part of her ult. tibbers aoe, auto attacks, and chasing thing is fine, but her ult doing 400 + 65% of her ap in an aoe instantly, is kinda unfair when it can also proc her passive in the aoe

You got her w and e messed up and I'll explain the power of her abilities. Her q is a glorified auto attack at best, about half as strong as a single one from an adc but that is only vs minions as it has a longer cooldown when not used to cs. Her w is a VERY short ranged aoe damage ability that can only be used vs stunned targets, minions, or certain melee champions (many melee champs have longer ranged abilities than this). This ability adds to her burst but can't really initiate it while staying alive. Aaaaand her e. Probably one of the most useless abilities in the game. Only purpose is to provide her passive. Does not deal damage unless someone bursts her when it's up and even then it will not deal over maybe 100 or so. It will not save her because she is squishy. It does not add to her burst. It doesn't even speed up tibbers anymore which used to be a somewhat ok excuse to have it in the game. You comparing it to thorn mail would be crap even if it was that good, but it doesn't give as much resist, deals almost no damage, and comes prebuilt on a squishy.

I hope you realize now that Annie has three abilities, two of which are decent at best, and she has tibbers. That is all.

After Annie 's ult, she is a free kill. Those damage outputs are a compensation for her lack of survivability after using her ultimate ability.

Not to mention the bear chases you for tons of damage now and after her death too.

im fine with that. it seems fair to me. its a cool interaction with the teddy bear being a protector for a little girl, which is a common trope for children in movies/cartoons

I'm not fine with the bear doing that + what you listed, Something has to give

Bingo we've been asking Riot for at least a year or two now to give her ult a travel time. She is after all supposed to be throwing her teddy bear, not making a bear appear out of thin air.

It should be like in the Cinematic

exactly. the cinematic trailor i thought was like a sneak peak for a upcoming change, cuz it also shows her q bouncing tryn back a bit, but isnt i guess

the only issue i have with her ulti is the crazy enrage tibbers has.. its got like 600 movespeed and hits like a truck

it actually makes thematic sense. in movies and cartoons, there is often a trope of the teddy bear being a sort of guardian for little children against scary things. tibbers attacking her killer makes sense

yeah well a lot of things make thematic since but ended up being horrible idea.

annie is a beginner champion. she doesn't have much mana issues because she can infinitely wave clear with her Q. you don't need to be able to last hit to cs with her. her damage is really easy to land. she doesn't have any hard counters. they just want people that are new or not good at a game like league to do well and not feel that they are useless and quit.

look at garen. you just charge at any melee champion in lane and you outstat and outdamage them. hes a beginner champion. he has to be a do well on average champion and not one of these famine or feast things
