Tips for jungling

Hi, thanks for reading this post! I'm currently a Bronze player (go ahead and make fun of me, I don't care.) who wants to learn each role in League to have a better understanding of each role and how they affect the team and match as a whole. I have a good grasp on mid, support and ADC. Top lane and Jungle are my worst two roles but out of both of those two, jungling is definitely where I struggle the most. I was wondering if I could have some tips on jungling so I can learn this role better. When I jungle, I struggle with knowing when to gank vs when to just keep farming, when to go into the enemies jungle to get their farm, how to pull off a gank that won't end up in getting me and my teammate killed and how to keep helping the game and saying active instead of passive. I DO NOT want a guide of "Pick this champ, build these items, wait until lvl 6, go gank, surprise! You're 21/3/12 now!" (Yes, I know there's twitch.tv and YouTube but I'd also like to hear from everyone instead of just one person.)
