Rework Morde?

Ok so much like the Rework Malzahar thread (https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/EVvZAITe-revert-malzahar) I created an hour ago, I'm hearing a lot of complaints going unheard regarding Morde. So once again, with enough upvotes and poll votes hopefully riot will listen and therefore below are your options. I've only played the recent incarnation of Morde, so will be voting for a rework but don't let that sway you!

Also please feel free to comment regarding your poll vote and the reasons behind it but please refrain from turning this into another massive debate about what is wrong with Morde.

VGU. Just don't fuck it up this time

Why not both? For sure, Mordekaiser absolutely deserves a VGU that lives up to the promise of his theme and gameplay, but in the meantime I think a revert could be a good way of improving his gameplay in the short-term, while we all wait for his larger changes to happen. Considering how Morde's rework arguably made the champion worse in pretty much every single aspect, a revert would at least bring him to a better state, even if it wouldn't be a perfect state by any means. If nothing else, it would be an economical way of giving Morde and his fans some love, and providing him with some meaningful improvements, without getting in the way of larger changes in the future.

For all that I hate about Mordes initial Rework. His W as an ability is an Improvement. I don't want little changes or reverts. I want him named Next VGU after Nunu.

I'm 100% aware of the VGU line up. Like I said Morde after nunu

There are so many good examples of a morde rework, so what riot needs to do is make listen to the players and bring them on board on the morde rework. Because Riot doesn't have a clue on what to do with the champ but his main players do.

I agree. Much like malz, there are a million options for them to choose from, they just have to pick the ones they like. Thanks for the vote!

Full VGU, actually fix some of his problems this time

  • give him some form of reliable damage
  • give him some potential for CC
  • make his lane less oppressive
  • give him a way to stick to the target

Thanks for the comment. I'm guessing you're a rework vote? :)

Yeah, I’ve seen old Morde, it’s basically just new Morde with less bells and whistles. The thing is with new Morde they just added gimmicks for bot lane. Better exp sharing, ghost dragon, healing on W.... but still didn’t fix his old problems

Whenever I've played morde I've found 4 things always happen.

  1. I push lane easily
  2. I poke the opponent down while taking little damage myself
  3. my only actual kill pressure is my ult (unless they stand there like a lemon and let me 3 Q them).
  4. My only real contribution to the game beyond being oppressive to my laner is objective output (who hasn't enjoyed taking herald at 19 minutes, putting it bot with a split pusher, taking dragon, and using it to take a 20 minute baron).
