I have trouble CS'ing mid-late game

Purpl3Jungl3··1 votes·2,278 views

Like I managed to get 175'ish cs in 20 mins just now in norms. In 30 minutes, I got up to around 240~. In the end, I only got 300 cs in 40 minutes. I was dissapointed...

IDK my gold friend said I should have just kept on cs'ing but with all the team fights breaking out & ppl coming to my lane, i didn't know how to keep my cs levels high :/ any advice?

Lesson on minion wave management from senpai SoloRenektonOnly:

All you need to do is push the meeting point of the minion wave past the river. Eventually, the wave will reset. Once that happens, enemy minions will arrive at the "minion battle" sooner, so the wave will naturally get bigger. This causes one of those massive minion waves you see. It will push back to you in a couple minutes. Go to the lane, clean it, push it past the river, repeat.

You use pushing as an opportunity to clear and CS in mid-late game. Sure group-push is pretty much a feasting table where the fastest bird gets all the worms, but in split pushes, rotating and jungle roaming, you get to bump your CS bar with it.

300 in 40 is more than most gold players get. Don't be disappointed.

You don't really need to farm forever. If you hit 250CS but are full build you might as well leave it for the 80CS ADC with 2 items.

That's like 7.5 CS per minute. You're only missing 2.5 for the standard 10 CS per minute Riot's grading system expects. No to mention, getting full build makes CS irrelevant anyway, and at 40 minutes, even the ADC should have full build

Minion waves are like yo-yos. The go, and they come. Once mid-game is triggered you cant stay in your lane farming ,as you said, you need to have a look at those lanes, and guess if the minions are going or the minions are coming. The enemies cannot kill their own minions so if the minions are going to your tower, the enemy cannot avoid it, so you have to wait for the right time, and once the lane is in a good and safe position, you go there and take all the farm and group again or go wherever you should be as fast as you can.

If your support is good enough, he would have warded the way for your roaming to get that farm. If not, well, your cs is good enough I guess, you can survive with that, or you can ward preemptive those roaming paths so you dont depend on your support's work.

EDIT: you need to know when you can do that and when you cant. Use common sense, dont leave your team alone just before a big teamfight because you want to shove a lane that is in a perfect position to be farmed.

EDIT2: long story short. Farming in mid-late is an intermittent process, your way to improve your farm in those phases is to improve your detection of farming opportunities. You do that by knowing wave manipulation so that you can predict the waves position in the next minutes.
