Kallista's Spear - Needs a Very Minor Tweak

Ask before you bind someone. Just... ask first. It takes 10 seconds, most people won't turn you down... but do not just grab the nearest tank or bruiser and force them to be your ult puppy.

The fact that you cannot deny this ability is almost a troll on RIOT's behalf, since you are -literally- giving one player control over the life and death of another. I honestly believe that, when a Kallista attempts to cast this on someone, it should give them the ability to deny or accept. Otherwise this is quite literally forced gameplay, and puts them at the beck and call to be yanked around during team fights, or when ever Kallista feels like it if they are trolling.

mmm... you're making a double edged argument mate.

tbh, i don't think it's a prob considering you choose where you're ulted. Otherwise why deny a champion half of her entire kit?

It becomes an issue when you are dealing with someone who wishes to run the match as a small general, so yanks you out of initiations, farming, and tears you away from kill secures.

Also - Her kit can be slightly modified so that she does not rely on forcing another player to do something they may not want to do. I, personally, don't have a huge issue with it.. but I've seen quite a few who -do-. That and this is the paramount of all forms of trolling if someone wishes to truly troll someone else.

You see that's where part of the problem lies "just change part of her kit" As long as players and riot want a champion to have an "identity" of their own, they cant just change whatever they want to whatever. changing that about kalista destroys her identity, and letting her have her max power without relying and a teammate will make the champion overbearing.

As you said some Kalistas do troll, i'll agree with you on that... BUT, at the same time, giving the option to deny her would give anyone else who wants to troll the option to ruin the majority of a champ.

Worst case scenario as far as kalista goes for trolling, she using her vow thing a little late and somehow forces to give up FB. which is rare on its own

Tbh, your argument is better suited for someone like tahm kench who has far more impact eating his ally and possibly trolling into the enemies

Admittedly - I have a problem with his ability as well lol. I think that any mechanic that forces someone else on your team to suddenly obey what -you- want to do is a poor design. Incidentally, MOST people will not deny a Kallista. She does not have to Oath the tank, either. Therefore it isn't like all 4 teammates are going to tell her no.

Like any other failed skill, if it gets denied she would be able to recast for someone else. Like an ARAM Trade. My problem isn't with her kit, it is her ability to grab which ever player SHE wishes to grab, even if they would truly rather not.

Yea i see what you're talking about, at that point the design is double edged.

On the bright side, if she ults at least the distance traveled is pretty far, so if u decide to say no, she cant toss you into a fight.

And thanks for not just turning to personal attacks cause someone disagrees to a point, its nice having an actual discussion instead of flame fest

Blah. I only respond with personal attacks if that is the direction someone else takes the conversation - and even then I don't prefer it. I disagree with many things in LoL, as it currently stands, but that doesn't make me right... it just makes me annoyed.
