Friendly reminder: rank doesn't equal skill
for the most part, I mean, hell, i'm unranked and i've been playing this game for about 2 years, maybe a bit more, I've just never been the type to play ranked or competitive matches.

The Oasis1 votesTrue. Sometimes in ranked matches I'll see 5 division split between the top and bottom ranked players. A Gold 3 will trash talk the silver 3, conveniently ignoring the fact that their MMRs are almost identical meaning the silver is probably playing above his rank and the gold player below.
LongHair Fox1 votesNo, but rank proves a minimum amount of skill. For example seeing a diamond or plat ranked player you expect them to have some skill. Sure the bronze player might be better if he is the type of player that never plays ranked. But rank does equal a show of minimum skill.
