I've had the 450be champs since i hit level 30, 3 years ago. I do not need or want 450be champ shards and no disenchanting them for 90be does not feel rewarding more like a slap in the face.
These champs should not be included in any level up capsules post level 30.

Dalk the White3 votesDude I agree, I hate this new Ip / BE system. It is so hard for me to obtain enough currency to purchase my champion I want. I was able to obtain IP so much faster to purchase champions. Actually felt like I was getting something every game as well. Now I have to wait till I play 10 / 15 games (what it feels like) just to open a capsule that gives me 2x450 champs and 1x1350 champ. Its sad but it does make me lose interest in the game much faster. I have no problem paying money for skins for champions I enjoy playing but it seems like Riot is trying to make people feel pressured to purchase champions with Riot points because they are dang near impossible to purchase now.

For your reward, you can just disenchant them for the IP/BE you wanted anyway if you are not going to use them for mastery levels. Well see the thing is, they literally aren't worthless and not just in the BE value. And if BE values are what is important: They are there to bump up the BE value. Having 1's in the system allows more divisible numbers.
I was already aware that it would take 70 CaterYi's to unlock him. But we don't just get the one right or that it is what we always get, right? And it's not as if hasn't always taken a long time to unlock a champion for free instead of paying. It would take near a hundred games in the IP system to unlock a champion without the first win bonuses.
I am still going to be collecting data over the coming months to learn and get accurate picture about this. As of now, it looks to be about the same for most and I can say is that for some, like myself, it seem that I am getting more champion unlock progression than before. I'll be looking into and double-checking that.
