It doesnt make any sense pix clearly can see when flying above the champion. The champion is blinded not pix (separate eyes). He shouldn't be treated like an item (Runaan's hurricane). He is an actual pet show some respect.
Unless pix see through the champion eyes then that make sense.
DeloricVI1 votesIt's because of the nature of on-hit effects. Pix's buff on an allied champion, much like as he is for Lulu, is pretty much an on-hit effect. I presume he's treated as one, and for balance sake, I also presume that's why he doesn't hit. Besides, if you can't hit the target, how does Pix know who you're aiming at?
I can just see an image of Pix looking at someone who just put three bolts into a tree while Teemo/Quinn gets away, and he just looks at the champion like... "Bro. Dafuq." lol
