Could we actually get a Rioter to respond to some threads? Mainly the "status icon" ones?

It's extremely frustrating that there are not one, but TWO very similar topics that are the highest-voted in this Board, but no Rioter has responded to either of them.

I do realize that a little while ago Riot put some of the buffs back onto the bottom-center of the screen, but that's not what people wanted. If they read and listened to the people's feedback within those threads, they'd find out that just the concept of having the buffs located in multiple areas of the screen is annoying as hell. We want EVERYTHING to be back in the bottom-center.

Other top-voted threads get Rioter attention, and I'm annoyed that Riot doesn't seem to care about a subject that people feel so strongly about that they are making multiple threads about it.

There's also this thread as well which has gotten a lot of upvotes, but it appears that the puush links on the thread are missing.

Riot has told us that one of the reason for moving away from the Forums and onto the Boards is so that they can communicate with the players better, but I just don't see it happening in this case...

If rioters are not making a statement on this, there is obviously some internal debate on the topic.

I've gotten used to it by now, because I assume it will not change.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit but I think this is the more relevant topic: what was the point to the move to boards? From what I can see traffic seems to have slowed. Posts dont get comments nearly as fast as they used to, which implies the usage is down. Even more frustrating, is they did all this work to "emulate Reddit" .... just to keep using Reddit.

The only thing the boards seem good for is pushing upvoted threads off the front page overtime regardless of popularity, thus giving Riot a "ignore it long enough and it will go away" feature.

OK ... I completely agree on the buff issue to. Why do I want information harder to visualize? It's a step backwards.

As unfortunate as it is to say, Reddit gets more visibility than the boards. From a company/social media perspective, if there is more outreach and engagement on one platform they will focus their attention on it even if they have their own in-house media outlet.

It is frustrating however that Riot seems to be cherry-picking topics to respond to when they're obviously quite visible. Some new threads get responses very quickly, yet outstanding issues pointed out by the community gets ignored without so much as a "Hey guys, we hear what you're saying but here's our reasoning as to why we think this is better..."

The later - while disappointing - would at least give an illusion of transparency, which Riot is sorely lacking as of last year.

As a jungler i like my buffs split up. you have any idea how nice it is to look down and see Blue Buff, Red Buff, Gromp Buff, Krug Buff, and Dragon buff sitting over my items and NOT cluttering the middle of my screen?

invaluable i assure you. keeps everything that isn't life saving-ly important in an accessible area without it having disappeared to a random and lost location.

i'll agree I didnt like it at first. but over time i grew to like it because i came to realize that it greatly cleared up my visibility and readability, even if some of you think less of it.

give it time. maybe you'll come to accept it too. not a great answer, but i honestly cant see how having it lower left instead of middle is that much of a game changer. it's there. just look left instead of middle. map is right. items and buffs left. actives and skills middle.

also. QSS Zed, use lube when Vi penetrates the back line to ult you, make bruce lee noises when you ult someone as Lee sin, dont pet Fizz's shark, and dont walk towards the foxy lady.

While it's OK for long-duration buffs to be out of the way, important stuff gets shoved out of the way too.

One example I had just last week. I was up against a Kennen, and I don't know much about Kennen. Kennen hit me with something and I get a little sparky thing circling me. Wonder what that does (specifics, I know it stuns at some point)?

  • Look in the center, can't find the icon.
  • Look above my character portrait (on my right, because I focus more on the minimap when that's on my left), and it's not there.
  • Look at the very right most edge of my screen and see the icon
  • Go to mouse over it and it disappears.

It literally took me so long to find the debuff that I couldn't look up what it does.

Riot supports having the portrait/items out of the way on the right side of the screen, let me move important debuffs back to the right or center so that I don't miss them!

Your mistake is thinking they care about what YOU want. Are you one of their precious LCS players? No? Your feedback means nothing. If people haven't figured out in the years spent playing this game, Riot will do what they want, and fix things only they see need fixing. I don't know of one change that was 100% community driven. More than likely some people complain about 'an issue', however, someone at Riot or someone involved in LCS sees 'the issue' and fixes it without knowing people were complaining about it-it has nothing to do with board posts. Even the move to put buffs back in the center-Riot didn't "hear us" on that, because they would have changed it all back. More than likely, Rioters themselves didn't like it, so 'some' of it was changed back.

Give us the option.

Seriously, it is totally up to preference and it would please everyone (well I'm sure someone would be mad for some reason because its the internet, but mostly everyone).

They have said frequently they do read these topics, but they don't offer much room for discussion, what is a hot topic usually gets forwarded to the rest for discussion amongst themselves, their is nothing wrong with how they are handling things right now.

And I haven't had any problems with the buff icons anymore.

I disagree as I do not want everything in the bottom center, so you cannot say that We Want, you can say that yourself and a group of others want it, there will be others who are indifferent, or those like me who like a less cluttered bottom center and are fine with some buffs or debuffs on the side

They are not posting just "NO"s :D

Riot doesn't actually communicate to the pleas of the community. They are more interested in fanart.
