New Idea for the Mission Events !

Hey guys,

I have to admit, I am really starting to like these mission events but I keep running into the same issue , it just feels too short for me. Some people play this game a lot (like myself) , and other people have limited time to play... or choose to only play a couple games a day.

So I propose maybe a choice between the "Casual Missions" and the "Elite Missions" .. you'd choose right as the event begins, and that's your mission level for the entirety of the event. That way if you play a lot, or have a free week to play league, or on the flipside you're just too busy to put much time into it.. you can choose whichever one suits you. Obviously, the Elite missions will receive better rewards, but take a longer time or more skill to achieve.. and the Casual would be pretty much how things are right now.

Sidenote: I'm not posting this to beg for more free things, I'm posting this because I actually do enjoy the missions, and just want to enjoy them for a longer period of time =) .

Please discuss !!

I think the current event missions should stay as they are.

Instead, give us some both casual and "elite" regular missions, like for example:

Champion specific missions:

  • Novice Scout: Win 3 games as Teemo. (Reward: Key Fragment)
  • Intermediate Scout: Plant 500 mushrooms as Teemo. (Reward: Key Fragment, Mastery 8 token)
  • Elite Scout: Deal 1 000 000 damage (that's around 40-45 games on average) as Teemo. (Reward: Key Fragment, Mastery 8 token)
  • Swift Scout: Earn S+ rank 8 times as Teemo. (Reward: Chest, Mastery 8 token)

Vision missions:

  • Place 60 warding totems - yellow trinket (wards must survive at least 66% of their duration in order for them to count - wards being within field of vision of another ward for more than 33% duration do not count, nor do wards placed in base before 15 minute mark). Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes every week.
  • Place 20 farsight wards - blue trinket (wards placed in base before 15 minute mark do not count). Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes every week.
  • Place 10 control wards (wards placed in base before 15 minute mark do not count). Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes every week.
  • Destroy 20 enemy wards. Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes every week.
  • Use Sweeping Lens or Oracle Alteration 50 times. Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes every week.

General missions:

  • Win a game. Reward: 150 IP. Refreshes daily (hm, I might've seen that one before).
  • Win 5 games. Reward: 300 IP. Refreshes weekly.
  • Win 10 games. Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes weekly.
  • Get A+ or higher on any champion. Reward: 150 IP. Refreshes daily.
  • Get S+ on any champion. Reward: 500 IP, 25 Orange Essence. Refreshes weekly.

One-time only general missions:

  • Reach level 5. Reward: 500 RP.
  • Reach level 10. Reward: 1350 IP.
  • Reach level 20. Reward: 3150 IP.
  • Reach level 30. Reward: 6300 IP.
  • Finish your first 10 placement matches: Chest + Key.
  • Earn silver rank: 6300 IP.
  • Earn gold rank: 6300 IP + Hextech Summoner Icon Token.
  • Earn platinum rank: 6300 IP + Hextech Ward Skin Token.
  • Earn diamond rank: 6300 IP + Hextech Champion Skin Token.
  • Earn master rank: 6300 IP + Hextech Legendary Champion Skin Token.
  • Earn challenger rank: 6300 IP + Hextech Ultimate Champion Skin Token.
  • Earn S or higher rank 25 times. Reward: Chest + Key.
  • Get 1000 kills or assists (count additively). Reward: Chest + Key.
  • Spend 30 hours in-game. Reward: 6300 IP.

... You get the idea.

thats basically what you have. you can buy an ez pass with few missions or an elite pass with all of them plsu some unnecessary junk.

If the elite missions game more rewards then that would be the new standard and wouldnt make a difference to what it is now.

Just because you want to play and grind missions more doesnt mean that's what everyone wants. The level it's at now could be what many would do in the 1-2 weeks

The casuals can just do 1-2 missions now and not finish either

There wont be anything more rewards wise, free missions are there to promote the sales of RP for new store stuff by giving people a taste

It might end up being more grindy for the same amount of reward

It's already in.

You just have to throw money at Riot to unlock them.

I don't see why it would be a problem, anyone can choose either choice and it would give the casuals something to win still instead of having a bunch of incomplete missions

I'm throwing this out there as someone who barely plays on the sr map. I also realize i'm in the minority, but I would like to see less map specific missions in general. I like the missions and I think most of them subtly teaching players how to focus minions and assists over just kills. All in all the missions are great, but so many of my missions can't be completed, by playing the style of league that i prefer (ARAMS) that I find myself getting stuck in the mission progression because none of the wins or kills or minions that I earn on howling abyss count so I end up ignoring missions entirely or playing a map that I don't enjoy.
