Thoughts on new Rengar?

He's my highest mastery point champion and I've been playing the new rengar but I don't really know how I feel about it. When I first saw his new reworked gameplay I thought he was gonna be incredibly OP and he was gonna get nerfed but now that I'm playing him he feels just average. Whenever I'm in champ select I usually just think "What's the point of picking Rengar when you can pick Kha'Zix." Because I feel like Kha'Zix is a lot stronger now and more viable for assassinating.

What are your thoughts. Rengar

His new 30% bonus AD from his necklace is ridiculously overpowered.

His Battleroar not only has massive heal potential, but a built-in Olaf ultimate to it too.

Definitely the Champ to come out on top after the Assassin rework.

I've been playing him aswell for a bit. His ahead seems pretty silly, but when he's even/behind he's really ... meh. His ultimate seems a lot worse when it comes to picking people off, so I figured ''that's fine, I can just work around it when teamfighting'' But in reality, the resistances he lost make him too squishy to really pull that off it seems... Maybe he'll be build like a Fighter and function like an Irelia or something?

Its 1000% better but screw bonetooth breaking a fine kit again. They shouldve been removed it for a mechanic like kha's evolution. Would fit his hunter theme, predators can upgrade their arsenal vs aliens, and it would be far more balancable and since it could add more approaches to a match like kha's it would be FAR more fun. Love his rework hate bonetooth since release.

At least it's consistent now, consistent feasting.

Entire kit is easy to dodge, less burst potential than before, less sustain than before, less gank potential than before due to his ferocity gut, passive got gut, stealth is only there as a skill placeholder because anyone with half a nut can see you now... Overall, it's very depressing.

I feel the same and I was JUST about to make a post. Played new one for the first time and its not like rengar I knew at all. Its clunky and wonky and I dont like it one bit. I miss the old rengar plain and simple. hes the champs I have the most mastery points on followed by sol. I cant evens tand to play him anymore. I was hoping they would make minor adjustments but his whole playstyle is different in some ways, and I still cant figure out what is the best combo as im leaping out of ult..... Also there is a disgusting delay on when you can leap after casting ult which is retarded.

Based on what I have seen from both spectating and playing, Rengar snowballs incredibly quickly in the current rework and the ability to respond to a snowballing Rengar is very difficult. And that is the catch. If the other side is able to keep his old bonetooth necklace under control, then they'll be fine. But give him a chance to fill in a few spots on that ol' bonetooth, and the opposing team is in trouble.

Case in point: I am still shaking my head from a game earlier today where I was playing against a Rengar that was literally 3 levels ahead at about the 15 minute mark. What caused the snowball? Two assists on ganks at mid and top - even though both ganks didn't work out initially in their teams favour, I'm deducing he was able to give damage within the 1.5 second window each time to claim a trophy. Before we knew it, the Rengar was racking up kills with little help.
