It's time for support players to get the jungle treatment

Which would mean that they wouldn't be able to buy other than support item at the beginning of the game. It's kind of ridiculous, when your support picks a mage and instead of he goes . Even if he won't steal the CS from the ADC, he is putting the ADC and the team into disadvantage, because he's not going to have enough money to scale. Considering that there are actually players, who have been playing this game for 5 years now and still don't know how support works, I think it's only fair to restrict their purchase options at the beginning of the game due to such players.

I mean... can't junglers technically buy something else at the start? It's just a REALLY bad idea...

That's kind of what's going on here. They are just kneecapping themselves by not buying a gold item. Slightly less AP now means you actually get to buy some later, roughly the same mana regen.

I'm ok with this, but how to implement it? Jungle works because the game ties item 1041 item 1039 to summoner 11 , and is automatically assigned to the person playing jungle.

FWIW, I would bring back a modified version of the old CLAIRVOYANCE summoner and give it the same interaction for support role and accompanying items. Helps to teach the importance of vision!

I believe supports should not be able to buy mage items like ludens , rabadons ,etc. There items are cheap for a reason. To fix this they need to lower thier gold generation, that will also limit mages bottom.

Mages have their items and supports have their items IMO it is broken for supports to have the ability to buy expensive mage items,

Because it makes way to strong in comparison to someone building normal support items,yes they lose utility but in this meta nothing matter as much as dmg And they will be alot strong than adcs .

Except jungle is not restricted in what it can purchase in any way, shape or form? You can still buy any other item, you just get less xp. Same for support items; you can pick literally anything else.... You just get less gold.
