If we ignore the defensive stats of each item and consider the items with and without their passive effect, which would be better for a champion?
Lets say 100 base ad and triforce or iceborn gauntlet is bought. Which item would be superior damage wise?

coeurloyal1 votesThe question you're asking here is incredibly packed with variables. However, the short(ish) answer is that Sterak's is meant to prolong your impact in the fight and reward you for staying--not to actually provide damage.
Besides, if you're assuming that you have 100 base AD, you already know that Sterak's is only granting you an additional 25 AD. That fact alone guarantees that Maw's built in 55 AD nets you more damage.
