Help on getting s for a support

Ao Dracona··2 votes·2,749 views

So I’ve just converted to a support main from a jungle main and I really love support I’m currently on the verge of getting my first m7 which is pyke I got my two m7 tokens from playing him because I didn’t know what I was doing lol

So as a support particularly pyke how do I get an s? What should I focus on the most? In providing this information it will help me become better at support and help me get better

In conclusion as a support (pyke) what should I be focused on when getting an s ?

I support main it is almost impossible.... I get 80 vision score in 20 min games with 20 assists and > 3 deaths and never get an S..... I am silver and checked my stats compared to other support mains in each bracket and I am ahead in each one but gold income. I am at every dragon and try to be at every tower kill never an S- let alone an S or S+ it just seems they made support the hardest to reach S.... I don't know why support gets screwed on everything... Try to do what other people say kill participation/ Clear wards/ be at dragon baron and towers when they are killed.... If you have more than 3 deaths forget about it too.... It's so hard the rating system doesn't help support at all it's biased towards carry roles.... but I wish you the best.

This is going to sound dumb af, but its EZ mode for an S. Get a good vision score, avoid dying and farm. Ignore your team and get a good farm going. Rito's formula is so heavy on farm it is dumb. I get it for ADC, mids, or top, but JG and support should not be so dependent on CS. When I play support or JG, I can get an S so many times, but by getting high CS.

Typically I try to make sure to lay vision, be near teamfights, and die little, but do some wave clearing especially late in game when you have a lane that is pushing. When you go 10/1/15 as a jungler and win solidly and only get an 'A' with a farm of 100, but then go 3/2/8 and get an S+ with 250+ cs even though your team lost because you were farming when you should have been helping with an objective or in a team fight. I also try to make it a point to last hit turrets when I am going for an S.

So in reality don't worry about your team, and just go for the raw numbers. Good grade, does not mean a good team player.

Edit> Someone told me this and I did not believe it at first, but then once I tried it, it was annoyingly easy to get an S.

you need to focus on vision score and dying as little as possible

That's not enough. You need to clear wards, buy vision wards, use your trinket, etc.

basically the above said it but you also need to make sure you have good kill participation vision and deaths are a big part of it too though

I'm a support main and I have more chests than I know what to do with.

It's all about persistence... Well, so long as you aren't a tank support. Hard to get an S when your job is to die for your team.

Also, taking Font of Life on champions who don't have any form of healing is a great way to boost your score. Like, I think the easiest champion to get an S with is a support Ashe with Font of Life and Ardent. Basically if you can get points in something a champion rarely gets points in is a great way to earn an S. Cause when grading your score, you are compared to other people playing that champion.

Like with Morgana, the typical Morgana player gets lots of kills and assists and few deaths, but they don't do much healing, outside of their passive. So building Morgana to heal her allies at every possible opportunity gets you closer to an S than trying to just get kills and assists.
