Anyone else notice that Luxes auto attacks seem to do alot of damage to turrents?

I just saw a lux take down mid turrent suppeerrr fast. Like way faster than any mage I've seen at lvl 5. It was like watching a lvl 12 zed with Bortk hitting my turrent. Can anyone comment on this? I checked to see if she had sorcerers Elixer on and she didn't. I run hybrid pen runes with extra masteries in AD for my mages (29-0-0 or w/e it is) and I dont think I've even been able to ~all to nothing a turrent with one/two creep wave at lvl 5.

Damage to a turret is based on base attack damage plus the higher of bonus attack damage or 40% of ability power. It is not affected by any kind of armor penetration or magic penetration. (Source)

doesn't damage to turrets scale with AP as well as AD? Not necessarily 100%, but still.

Hihi, I mained Lux when I started back in season 2. I didn't feel that. I wanna see that game you are referring to, but I can't seem to find it.....:(
