Hi I have finally found a fix for the title.
What you do is download VyprVPN (theres a 3day free trial, you will need a credit card though). Download it and follow instructions to set it up (make sure all connections are sent throught vypr) then close and reopen mac. Should work.
When the screen turns black, keep pressing space bar+enter+delete. Sounds strange, but worked for me. I couldn't tell you why it works, I just found it on another user's post. This is not a silly attempt to harm your program in anyway. I'm going to leave this message on all similar forum posts to help out as many people as possible. I hope it works for you as well. i was struggling on this for two days and i tried this method and it actually worked, however I don't know if I have to always press these keys before a match or if this is a perm fix ?
is there any other solutions? I would rather not put my credit card in and download a sketchy program just to play the game.

Not that I can find, and I have spent a very, very long time looking. This program isn't sketchy though, VPN are services that have been established for awhile. And whateverfrog that runs vpyr is pretty well known (meaning they aren't likely to steal from you). you WILL have to cancel your subscription tho BEFORE the 3 day free trial is up (they have a link on their site how you can do that) unless your like me and you only have 2 dollars in your bank account (I have it set not to be able to take overdraft fees) so it will get cancelled as soon as they can't take the 6-8 dollars or whatever to keep it running. Riot usually has the issue fixed by 3 days anyhow (yes this has happened before).
If they havnt you can decide whether this game is worth a 6-8dollar a month con program to run or not (how much do you enjoy lol that is).
The thing about this fix, unlike other fixes (the press enter after 5sec, the restart lol/router, change wifi from wpa/wpa2 to wep), this is the only solution that works for EVERYONE (so far) consistently. Although I do recommend trying the others first.
