With the recent changes, it feels like Riot tries to listen to the community after all
We get:
- A ping mute option that lets us void out "young/toxic players"
- A rework on runes that was badly needed because it was never a good idea that players can unlock ingame advantages based on their playtime
- 5 bans that let everyone on the team decide what's generally bad against their team or themselves
- "On my way!" pings feeling more reassuring when everyone pings "On my way!" on the same objective
- A rework on the Honor system that everyone knowingly forgot about because they either didn't care to honor their teammates or didn't care to receive honors themselves
It's not "Yasuo is dead and has been permanently disabled in all queues", but it's a start! I do hope however that we get slight compensation for losing runes. I really can't imagine going into laning phase anymore without my 10% CDR and mana regen as a Support, or 15 AD as ADC.
Point being, SOMETHING HAPPENS! It no longer feels like we're completely being ignored and all of our contributions to this board are wasted because nobody at Riot Games reads them anyway, so thank you very much for showing us that you take our feedback seriously.
Riot and us players still have a long way to go before the game is perfect, and it probably never will be, but we're trying to get there and that makes me, as somebody who thought about quitting because I recently lost all joy in playing, very happy.
