What is the ACTUAL reason that Yasuo is resourceless

He's homeless. Most homeless people don't have many resources.
But he can shoot a wall of wind out of his ass cheeks instantly?
Many homeless people are also plagued by flatulence.

His Qs are glorified auto attacks. We don't tax auto attacks and we're probably not going to for a long while.
His Wind Wall is a reactive ability, and most equivalents to it in other champions kits all already tend to be the cheapest skills in their arsenals.
His E quite frankly doesn't make sense with most resources, given its low(ish) range in single use scenarios and how absolutely draining it would be in multi-use scenarios.
His Ultimate is (well, was) the only Ultimate ability that has a strict requirement to activation.

Modifers are different, given that they almost always come with entirely different effects (Magic Damage, CC, Bleeds, etc.). The only argument here is his Q3, but otherwise Yasuo's Q manages to be weaker than his auto attacks if you build him full damage, and the bonus range is more there to make him functional, not to be a bonus in and of itself.
"Mobility is overpowered" is a red herring and you know it.
Fate's Call came after Last Breath, I already admitted to it with the original post.
Modifers are different, given that they almost always come with entirely different effects his Q is an AA that affect all targets in a single line for 475 units, that loads into a Q 1200 units range (and about 200) units wide twister that adds a KU status status and hits critic
I disagree on the ultimate part only. It's not a tax, its a benefit. Ashe's ult is a skill shot that can be missed and thus completely wasted, Yasuo's ult is can only be wasted if the player using him uses it at the wrong time. Imagine if you could get an Ashe ult off any time someone else got a stun off, you could chain CC anyone without having to worry about missing your ult. If Yasuo couldn't use his ult without someone else getting a knock up on them first then it would be a weakness because he'd have no ult without someone else having a knock up.
Yasuo's ult being activated on knockups has never been a weakness.
Yasuo's ult being activated on knockups has never been a weakness.
You can't be this stupid.
I'm sorry, but we've both been around these forums long enough to know that people can be that stupid.

. The fact that Ashe can miss should not be an argument against Yasuo that he is not able to miss his.You can miss his knockups just like you can miss a lot of other ults but missing a knockup never wastes his ult.
I love when people use logic and reasoning instead of blindly circlejerking. +1
Its a CertainlyT Champion...
the reason is that his kit doesn't function on a resource the champ literally doesn't work if it's gated in that way.

CertainlyT. That is all.
A long long time ago a magical fruit came to Ionia. It's name was "Beans". Yasuo's family was bean farmers, and thus, loving said beans, it is all Yasuo eats. His flow meter is actually a fart meter. Every time he moves or steps he lets out a little toot. Whenever he uses E he releases a longer, stronger, harder toots and thus glides across the battlefield. Rito didn't want to have to explain said toot meter to their bosses, so they made him "resourceless" when in fact he is not. You know that "flow shield"? It's actually a cloud of nasty smells that stops enemy weapons and attacks from reaching him due to the acidic quality of the beans that Yasuo eats.
So there you have it. Rito had a cleverly designed and applicable fart resource ready to go into a game, but, due to political correctness, had to retcon it and make up the stupid flow idea.

The more you know!
Because wind is an infinite resource.
Yasuo's kit would be really terrible with a resource.
The better question is why mana-gated champions don't feel as good to players.
I mean, personally, I've never really felt a sense of overwhelming entitlement just because I have a blue bar telling me to call mother once in a while, but despite my opinion, the general consensus is that mana champions don't feel like they're empowered to the point of requiring that mana gate. They either sit on the side of "Technically mana gated, but it doesn't actually hold me back after level 7" or "Mana is your first item and you still need to conserve it carefully."
This is a question RiotRepertoir is actually considering.
cuz there is always a breeze?
It's most likely that Riot wanted to implement a new type of resource (Flow) and built him around that and some other concepts they had.
Theoretically, it's partially to discourage him from building Triforce, but he does it anyway...
BECAUSE HE'S SHORT RANGED.
Because his abilities are supposed to "flow" together seamlessly, and having a resource that can interrupt his combos would be counter to his intended design.
I really want to like Yasuo, but he is just too much.
Resources are meant to gate the use of a champion's abilities, or at least their power over the course of a fight, and Yasuo is designed around having abilities that are a) freely spammable but not too strong on their own (e.g. Q and E), b) already gated by a super-high cooldown (Wind Wall), or c) heavily restricted when similar abilities can be used on-demand (Last Breath). In an ideal world where Yasuo had immutable, strongly defined weaknesses, especially in lane, his lack of resource costs would feel totally justified, but even now, slapping on Flow costs or whatever to his abilities would likely not make him any healthier, and would just make him feel crappier to play while still similarly unpleasant to lane against.
