Well, I guess I'm going to put Riot's Booster Detector system to the test

We'll see how well it handles non-boosters that start spamming one champion and doing really well on them. Particularly after a perfect game with a pentakill. http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=DrCyanide

I've dug Xerath back out of my champion pool and have been doing fairly well on him all in all. I've only been playing him in ranked to try and prevent getting burnt out on him, and while not every game goes my way, I think my overall KDA and win rate on him speak for themselves.

Am I a perfect player? No, of course not. I know my CS is bad, and I know I could roam better, position better, and choose better times to be aggressive. But I'm wondering if my performance changed enough for me to be a false positive on the booster detection.

Riot only bans if they're 100% sure you're boosting. While you may come up on their radar due to your sudden single champion ranked spam they'll search for real proof that you're getting boosted. (duo'ing with an account that just hit 30, playing at a location or on an unfamiliar computer, etc.)

I've found that immobile mages do really well in low elo - used Swain to climb from Bronze to Silver... but once I hit high silver, I get shut down as people know how to beat him. Maybe I'll give Xerath a try now lol.

He's pretty damn good, particularly when people aren't smart enough to build MR, relying only on a Locket from the support or tank.

My build for Xerath is item 3174 item 3285 item 3020 item 3135 item 3157 item 3089, generally in that order (boots can be moved earlier if you have the gold, and you can get the Zhonya's before Void if you need the armor and active). THe important thing is to be able to hit your stun, and to get your spell rotation off quickly. Even without Deathcap, you can often burst squishies with just your EWQ combo.

Usually they check the ip address of players logging on when they are suspecting boosting unless the person admittedly verbally about boosting. So if it's really you playing, then no there is no way you will be banned.

Your build order is a little strange to me. I typically find it better to go Athene's on Xerath, into Luden's then Void staff. How do you usually build him?

If I'm against an AP opponent I get item 3028 , otherwise (or against a lot of heal on the enemy team) I get item 3114 . I stop there for mana regeneration for a while and transition to damage, rushing item 3285 and item 3020 , which help me stay safe as well thanks to the movement speed. Everything after that depends on what I think I need at the moment.

I'd say no, your gameplay alone isn't "godlike" enough to get any attention. You're doing well, and your Xerath play does looks to be quite good, at least good enough at that elo, but your match history is still littered with the occasional loss, which is normal for someone climbing normally.

So keep spamming Xerath when you can and don't worry, you're not THAT good, just good enough to keep climbing if you keep it up lol
