Ok Im sick and tired of the rift herald replacing my ward slot.
It's literally punishing because I either think I can ward so I accidently place it down, or I just can't ward at all.

This is very true, and cna actually put you on a dissadvatage when having rift. That is why you can give rift to the support. Hopefully the support has site stone and doesnt have to worry about it. But i do agree to have the ability to have it on a certain button or something.
Should probably just have it take up an item slot tbh, that way it provides more depth behind thinking of taking herald. "Do I have an empty item slot to take the buff when it drops?" etc.
I've summoned the Herald by accident so many godamn times because I wanted to ward :c
