What should i buy vs % champs like vayne and kog?

TehNacho noted that one option is to try to coordinate with your team's burstiest members to kill them quickly. Particularly, Kog needs to stand still to deal max dps (unless you're that crazy Korean player), so he's very vulnerable. I want to note that there actually are quite a few items that work well to reduce the damage you take from Vayne/Kog.

Both of them are attack speed dependent, so buying both a Frozen Heart and a Randuin's Omen is a good idea. Both also buy a lot of attack speed so thornmail, which now deals damage based on your own armor in addition to their damage, is a good buy.

Kog'Maw's % damage is magical, so picking up a bansee's veil and maybe also a locket (if your support doesn't have one or if they will be too far away from you to give you the aura) goes a long way in addition to the armor and AS slow items.

Although Vayne does a lot of true damage, around 2/3 of her damage is still physical, so traditional armor items -- dead man's plate and sunfire cape -- are still good vs her, just not quit as good. If she buys a lot of crit, you can get two Randuin's for the stacking crit reduction, though usually with FH/Thornmail/Randuins/boots you want to pick your last two items to finish 40% cdr.

Which brings me to my last point: you can max out your cdr. If they're cc'd, they're not dealing damage.

These champs are specifically designed to cut through defense; buying defense to counter them is backwards thinking.

If you are the primary tank of the team and can't buy defense without compromising the team, buy anything and center your play style around the Burst Carry of the team. Usually the Mid Laner, just make sure to complement whoever is best designed to kill a squishy and either give them as much breathing room as they want away from the enemy team, or set them up perfectly to go on the offense.

You buy pink ward and Omen/Heart against Vayne Omen/Heart against Kog as well, and you also need hard initiation or great assassin.

1 v 1 of course you are goign to struggle late game vs these champs, but adcs are at their peak late game for how shitty their early game is.

unfortunately neither builds are optimal for killing carries as they are meant to be tank shredders, but basically the things you dont want to be buying are full health items.

Same as always. Tank items (if you are playing a champion that can build them).

Vayne has % true damages but most of her damages are still physical therefore getting armor is a good thing (especially since how brutal Tumble is once she gets a couple of items). Getting and/or is very good against her.

Kog'maw is a machine gun but he has no true damages (except on his passive and who cares about that). He also deals a fair amount of magic damages, therefore, getting a mix of armor and magic resist is a good idea. Also, because he relies so much on AS, consider buying / / against him.

In any case, don't forget that both champions will still have brutal damages. These items will, in most cases, help you to buy time for your team to deal with Vayne / Kog'maw but only a few selected champions that build tanky will be able to kill Kog'maw and Vayne on there own, especially in lategame.

randuins slowing attack speed stacking with an exhaust really messes them up
